    what is doping???

I know this may be off the subject of AS, but I've been hearing alot about athletes that are doping to increase their performance. Any one out there know what that is??? I've heard it is some kind of way of altering your genetics.

Doping is usually refering to blood doping which most commonly is EPO. I have heard some friends of mine who are from another country refering to taking AAS's as doping.

O'm not real sure of the process, but I do know that athketes use it to get more oxygen to their muscles so that there endurance will increase.

....to add...Althletes use it because when they take the blood out the body makes new blood (red blood cells is what the athlete is concerned with) and when the athlete reinjects his blood that was taken out the body will be saturated with oxygen rich blood. Endurance atheletes and usually the one who use blood doping.

    Peace

dansteelman and monsterco i bet you guys feel burnt hahahahaha

"Blood doping is a method of increasing the number of red blood cells in the body which in turn carry more oxygen to the muscles. It is most often used by athletes who compete in high endurance races like cycling or cross-country skiing. In the past, a liter of blood would be removed from an athlete's system and then frozen and stored for several weeks. A day or two before a big race, the stored blood would be re-injected into the athlete's system - creating extra red blood cells. These extra red blood cells would carry more oxgen to the muscles - giving the athlete an advantage over the other racers who don't use
    Blood Doping "

All I know is they talk about it in Rocky IV, the reporters asked Ivan Drago whether he had partaken in anabolic steriods or blood doping. I've seen that movie WAYYY to many times, hehe.
