Question reguarding Steroid Effect Timing?

I have a question,

With mostly anabolic component steroids, like Deca and Equipose
the effect takes time for the user to feel and/or notice, while heavy androgen steroids like most test ethers, dianbol, have noticable effects on strength and hypertrophy within a week or so of use, mostly due to increased muscle diameter from water retention. Ok, that stated, why do these anabolic counter parts take so much longer to build up an effect? Is it the increased erythropoesis? Positive Nitrogen Enviroment?
Does anyone have any insite? My guess is that this is part of the classification process between Type II and Type I steroids, where growth is defined as either on a direct muscular effect or through other means?

Well.. your a little off base here.

It's the ester that controlls how fast the steroid "kicks in". Some tests take weeks before you notice them as well.

Like enanthate, and cypionate for example.

So why do we use these steroids if they take weeks to kick in? Because it's for that same reason that you're able to inject the drug once or twice a week.

If you look, steroids that you can get away with shooting once a week will take weeks to kick in. Whereas steroids that should be injected ED or EOD take alot less time. Same thing goes for orals..cept I only know of oral steroids that must be taken ED or EOD max. If you could find a an orral that you only had to take once a week, it'd take weeks to kick in as well.

It all has to do with the rate at which the drug breaks down and enters your system.

Tricky question to answer, but a GOOD ONE! My .02 is the long chain test esters take longer for that exact reason. A longer chain takes time to break down and become active in the bloodstream. Opposed would be a shorter chain such as t-propionate where injections have to be done a max of eod because it has a shorter chain and is metabolised quickly and breaks down to the half life by the second day versus the second week. Take synthol for example, it works because the oils are 8 and 10 carbons long (mct) and injecting a few cc's of oil stretches the muscle facia and if you were to use the oils that gear is diluted in, the effect would last mere days compared to however synthol actually lasts,(depending on how its used). Hope that sheds light on your question.

There is a good post about this in esters.

In short: the longer the chain wich is attached to the testeron, the longer it takes for the body to "strip" the test of this extra chain. Therefor if the chains longer, the longer the halftime of the test and the longer it takes to start working.

The number after the C presents the number of carbon atoms in the chain of the ester (higher C = longer chain)
