    Test Prop Detection

I have a drug test for a professional sporting event on April 30 and am trying to find information on Test Prop and PCT detection time. I came off of my last cycle 3 months ago (.75ml eod & 50mg var) PCT of nova & clomid. I have 9 weeks until the possibility of a test and was messing with the possibility of running 50ml eod of prop for 6 weeks to aid in my last 2 months of training. I am reading mixed things on how long it will take the prop to clear. I am aware that the half life is short, but what about the metabolites? If I stop pinning 2 weeks out will that allow enough time? Only issue is then I would need to start PCT which I'm assuming hangs around for a bit (ie. Manny Ramerez) If the prop clears quick I could run it up until the week prior, take the test, then start PCT. But I don't want to be off more than a couple days. Any perspective would be appreciated.

That seems to be the answer I'm seeing too. Any idea on PCT?

Or you could not do it or wait until you have had the test.

I won't be running anything after that first test because I will be subjected to random testing throughout the season.

The half life of Clomid is 5 days. The half life of tamoxifen is 5-7 days. Tamoxifen has a metabolite, N-desmethyl tamoxifen, with a half life of 14 days. The general rule is that it takes 4 to 5 half lives for a given substance to clear the body. Detection in urine can be longer or shorter. It depends on how much is excreted via the kidneys and the level of concentration that is detectable in urine. Tamoxifen and Clomid are primarily excreted by the liver in feces.

Great info Doc. With the limited time frame I have to work with I have also contemplated running 40-50mg anavar for 5-6 weeks.. With the thought that it would clear in 2-3 weeks and not needing PCT. This goes against everything I've been taught in regards to oral only. I have 6 weeks of intense training starting within the week (with an emphasis on speed and explosiveness). Size not something I exactly need at the moment.

That dose of Anavar for that length of time would shut down the testosterone production of most ppl. And once you stop the anavar, odds are you won't start making testosterone until you do a PCT. Some studies show it can come back on its own after carrying lengths of time ranging from 2 to 18 months for most ppl. I think you might be better off not trading the Anavar - just something to think about.

Also, I have no knowledge of urine tests for the detection of steroids . So my ability to help you with that aspect is limited.

Let me know what you decide

The last thing I want is to shut down my natural test right as my season is starting. This may be a little bit out there but I have heard of and even seen bloodwork posted from one individual who ran a clomid only cycle at 25mg daily. Increased his natural from 720's to just under 1000. At this point I don't need the huge size gains. Theoretically this would increase natural levels over the next 5 weeks, and I would have enough time to clear. Only concern I have is the effect it would have on my estrogen levels and lh. Being a speed athlete I need to keep lean mass high and bloat/exces bf low.

I think that doesn't sound like a bad idea. Some ppl have posted references here that show that tamoxifen (at 20mg/day) will have a greater increase on testosterone than clomid will up to 100mg/day. But tamoxifen stays in your system much longer, or at least it's metabolites do. I think you'll be fine regarding LH (as clomid is used to increase LH levels) and you can keep an AI on hand if you feel like you're bloating.

The above link is to the list of prohibited substances by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Clomid and tamoxifen are on there but I imagine you knew that. You may just want to spend some time on that site.

I've still been high after 2 weeks off blast and on TRT levels, so I'd recommend at least 3 but even 4 if you are taking chances with professional sports. If 4 is fine, you can try 3....but IF it was me, I'd be using suspension if I was a professional athlete.
