    Customs love letter

    OK, I got my love letter from the LA customs office. IT pretty much said that If i wanted to abandon the siezed medications the case woudl be closed. I would have to ...."sighn" the attached form if this is waht i want to do.

    What should I do? Everything I read says to just throw it away and DO NOT SIGHN ANYTHING.

    the one and only time i had a seizure i got 2 letters.

    do not sign either one. pitch them both bro, and chalk it up as loss.

    I've had two shipments seized in the past and I just ignored the letters and everything was fine. If I were you I wouldn't sign because it proves that the gear was yours...

    once you recieve the the letter that states if you dont claim this it will be destroyed, thats the end of it.

    they wont bother you again, unless you have another seizure. if you get too damn many, they might start questioning that though, so use a different address next time.

    Not saying that they would, but you sign and mail anything and it is admitting that it was yours and legally acknowledging it......


    I can see the prosecutor in courtroom now " Well your hono if it wasn't his why did he sign this document and Mail it back"......

    remember the law is tricky that is why when stings happen they wait for you to sign for the package, in other words take legal possession of it....
    ...call be paranoid but better safe than sorry....

    Seizure

    If my gear gets seized by Customs and they take no further action other than send me a letter stating you may appeal and try to 'claim it'. (which of course any sane person wouldn't). Is my address now kept on their database & will any parcels addressed to me flag up when come they through and get inspected, even though they may be legit????
