This isn't what you want to be known for... But you can tell your story as often as possible - which I know you have been -

Very good post. I wish i had of been shown something like this when i was younger. I made some stupid decisions but luckily i have come out relatively unscathed. Theres no way of knowing what my natty levels would be at if i never cycled young but they are within the normal zone in adulthood. When i hear of young guys looking to cycle i do my best to steer them away but its near impossible to convince an 18-22 year old to not do something they want to do.

Is this a world wide thing or just local to me??

Have anyone else noiced that there is a massive influx of the younger guys firing into cycles straight away without actually knowing what they are getting into. Their is a new group of lads in my gym and they are the typical young and lets jump on gear they have big upper bodies but fck all legs or that proper thick dense muscle that you get from years and years of heavy hard training.

We've all seen these guys before they will last a few years and then fck off from the gym onto something else I don't think they realise the poetential damage they will have done to themselves in the years to come.

I think it has a lot to do with social media (Bostin Lloyd, Rich Piana, etc.). Steroids are also very taboo in most countries, thus people don't discuss them and young people generally don't understand the potential consequences. There is also definitely a pursuit of instant gratification with my generation that leads people to jump onto cycles without proper training experience or research.

Guys, estimates in the States is that 7% of teens use. I work with teens, they are fascinated with it.

I'm personally very impressed the way this forum has addressed the matter. Younger folks need more patience as we guide them in the correct direction. Just an older guys perspective.

my son in early 20s cycle without PCT, a year later cycled again and told me about it, again no PCT, he got skinnier and now has health issues. some youngsters just don't want to listen, once they get determined there is nothing anyone can do to change their minds, they will learn on their own after its too late. what i am impressed about is people like Marcus and others here who actually give a shit about them more than they do.

I was 20 when I started, but I was already almost 230 lbs. Wanted more and more. Didn't have the patience. Used, did numerous cycles without proper PCT. By the time I was 26 was on Dr prescribed trt.

I've had numerous issues since then, from aas I don't know. It most likely didn't help. I can only give them my real life experiences and hope they listen. I'm about to start taking my son with me to the gym, but he is only 14. No aas talk at all with him, but I think it will come lol..

Bass, just curious, and sorry for getting personal, but does your son know your history - if so, did it have any affect at all on him? Fonzy, with your size, doesn't your son suspect (some of my 14 year olds are sharp as hell, never ceases to amaze me)?

Thanks guys! I am always torn what to and not to share with my students - never had kids, you guys are far braver than I in that department!

i am sure when the time comes to talk about AAS with your son you'll know how to handle it. i think the biggest issue with youngsters doing risky things out of ignorance is lack of education from their parents, and i am guilty of that. i guess we adults also lean the hard way. Just be open with him, i am almost sure he would respect that more and hopefully follow your advise.

If it's of any consolation, I believed you were in your early 30s.

I read through some of these.. really scary stuff.

I personally did a cycle and did not check my baseline test before doing it.. i think I was 25. At 30 I only had 471 total test. I always wonder if I did permanent damage. My first cycle was deca and test too.

This is no joke for sure. I know I was old enough to cycle but I didnt do things correct. Its good to see all these posted here. Good to see people care and are looking out. Definitely bumping this.

I saw an old thread today of a 20 year old showing his dbol cycle results. He was very proud of himself but obviously looked fatter and bloated. Did the cycle too long, didnt train right, didnt eat right and at the end of it all he looked far worse than when he started. Sad. God knows what kind of damage he did to his body not doing pct either. He was so proud of his results too it was kind of funny. He was so let down when everyone told him the obvious that all it looked like was pure far and water.

The guy literally gained like 15-18% bf. Ridiculous.
