I went to an allergist and he prescribed it because i had swelling in my face and i know it was from juice but he said it could be due to my allergies. I did not tell him that i use AS.

prednisone can be used for numerous things
    allergies,copd(emphysma),injuries,croup---numerous things

dr c tell the dr the truth they cannot call police on you or tell others what you tell them. since not telling truth they start prescribing things.---i was on eq and blood count was high dr almost put me on med untill i told him them hes like oh--ok

The other solution if you're apprehensive about disclosing too much information is just not to take the prednisone, unless he wants to inject it in the office. I used to have wretched allergies and can't remember if DR could give shots for pred or not.

Just because he writes the prescription doesn't mean you have to have it filled.

I agree. If you know the swelling was AAS related, I wouldn't take the prednisone. It has more side effects than the juice! How much are you taking and how long have you been on it?
