Can somebody tell me what the safe amount of protien is for a fella who is '5"11 and 198lbs? I was told too much is lethal. HELP!!!

300-400 should be fine. It is a little hard on the liver, but you should be okay.

I think you would have trouble eating enough protien to kill you, high protien consumption can put increased demands on your liver, but if you are healthy you are probibly safe to consume up to and around 400 grams a day. I think the recomended intake for a normal person is 0.5g per pound of body weight. If you are active it is 1g per lbs., 2g per lbs. for an athlete.

350-400 grams of protein a day is a safe range to be in as long as your taking in a sufficient amount of water with it. 1/2 gallon of water for every 100 grams of protein should enough to assist your body in breaking down the protein.

1.25 grams of protein/lb of body weight .66 ounces of water/lb of body weight .
