Muscle maturity
So when pro bbers say they don't want to get bigger but they need to get more muscle maturity, like the dry grainy look on their muscles. What exactly gives the so called matured muscles? Is it the conditioning? The bodyfat? Because some people are born with smooth and soft skin so is there such a thing as muscle maturity? Or is it compounds like tren that gives you the "matured" look?

I think it's a combo of them all! But as we age we develop better shaped and fuller muscle bellies as well - so the lower the bf and better conditioned they will show this moreso... ?!

The more years I put into the gym the more thicker, grainer and bigger muscle bellies got. The longer you have been hitting it hard the body responds and gives you the maturity and a certain look in the muscle. It pays you back for all the hard work but it takes years. You also learn how your body responds best to diets, drugs and training and you adapt to what suits you the best and this also drives that look you talk about.

I always assumed muscle maturity meant a combination of developed, dense muscles and strong connective tissue.

A lot of factors come into play in regards to visible muscle maturity. Mainly diet, age and years spent into the gym. I've always been a soft, veinless, baby face type until I hit 40 and really started paying attention to my diet. Skin got thinner, grainier, and the muscle shape I spent alll those years as a fatty finally began to show.
...oh yeah masteron helped too lol

When I think of muscle maturity, I think of age in terms of how long you have been hitting the gym hard. That coupled with diet. I think that also the type of training plays a factor in whether you have the "soft" or "hard" look... but I could be wrong

I think itīs more related with your bones , which wonīt stop growing in thickness until your 26-28

Given the title of the post, muscle maturity, I doubt bones have much to do with muscle maturity. Their length does greatly impact muscle shape. I know, I'm tall, it's not easy.
However, to have full, thick, sculpted, aka mature muscles, you do not need bones fully developed. The thickness matters very little, they're millimeters bigger, not centimeters, from when you're a teen.

For me personally? I'm in my early 30s. I've been training since I was 15, and started competing the year after.
My legs (for example) have a mature, cross-striated graininess to them... even when I'm 'bulking' and softer overall. A quality that guys who came after me, doped up, and got legs the same size just don't show.
And, this isn't to discount their hard work. But, rather to show that some things take time.
On the Mr. O stage, there are guys who piled on a TON of size in a short space of time and look great by themselves... but when placed next to a longer-training, seasoned pro... you start to see the aesthetic short-comings. The lack of the maturity et. al.
