Longest cycle you ever ran? longest cycle youd recommend?
my first cycle of test e was only supposed to be 16 weeks at most but after week 16 i felt so good and so strong i just kept going for another 8 weeks
pct has been hell
i dont think ill ever run a cycle that long again
whats your guys longest cycle and longest cycle youd run again?

16 weeks is really the max cycle length.... 10-12 is the standard

Long cycles suck. 12 weeks in general are great cycles in my opinion.

Usually 12 weeks.
Ran this one I just finished for 10.5 months. My last pin was 2 weeks ago, still feeling great but expecting a crash any day now.
I don't recommend the longer cycle. It did very little for me except give me unbearable shoulder acne.

Long cycles like 28 weeks require increasing/doubling the dose.
Im in the middle of a 28 week cycle, the first half was 250mg test per week and sexond half is 600mg test a week so still seeing gains, its just a mixture of greed and experiment for myself. I hadnt cycled for 3 years so responded well to the low test then have room to increase the test to a safe amount.
I recommend picking a normal dose that is normal/recommended at your level of experience and just sticking with it.
12-14 weeks seems to be the longest popular cycles

My longest was 52 weeks. I definitely don't recommend it and would never do it again. I recovered fine but that was very lucky. I keep everything under 18 weeks now

12wks has been my longest and i would not recommend more than that.

I think cycling on and off in general is a good idea. It gives your body a break & what not.
But, what if your natural base numbers suck - what r u coming back to?
This is why it's a good idea to get base line numbers before you do jump on the sauce.
If I came off & recovered to where I was prior to cycling my test would b in the 300-400 range - which is just straight shit if you want to enjoy any form of real life.

So do you basicaly self TRT? Or are you on TRT?
What dose and ester do you run between those blasts.
I suspect my natural numbers are low, although its a wild guess
right from school years ive never been what id class is high sex drived or any form of aggression

There are a ton of people who are ON for years however that's not a cycle just a bad decision that will likely lead to permanent consequences.
As many have said the longest practical cycle is 16 wks but if you are training for a contest and started too late to take a break and restart then yeah that can be a reason to overextend, That is to say (IMO) if you are training for a contest you are better off starting a few weeks earlier and splitting it into two cycles with a bridge between as the gains will be far superior. But that's just my opinion others may feel differently.
Anyhow as far as the original post, I think if you hope to cycle and recover, its best to use short to medium esters and short to moderate cycles of 8-12 weeks with PCT and time off. Rather than extend the cycles to 16-24 wks and do less cycles. In the long run with this approach you will see more gains and have less chance of damage.Last edited by Far from massive; 11-30-2015 at 07:13 PM.

There is no doubt that the longer you stay on the rougher the recovery.
