    Is this a terrible idea?

Let me preface this by saying I have been around this forum for a long time and have a very open mind when it comes to advice. I'd also like to ask that you keep an open mind and remember that everyone's goals are unique.

With that said, I've been recently weighing the pros and cons of cycling and blasting and cruising. I've been training for 5 and a half years and haven't touched AAS yet. The last couple of years, my gains have present but minimal and despite religious training and diet improvements my gains have been relatively small. I'm very proud of my physique but I would like to add some more size. I don't like the concept of putting my body through cycles of high and low hormones and the stress on the body involved with recovery post cycle. I think that cycling makes a lot of sense for people who use high AAS doses and harsh compounds, but that's not really of interest to me. I would rather take a steady TRT dose of test and occasionally add some compounds in for a blast. My wife cannot have children so preserving my fertility is not a concern at all for me (not really interested in kids anyway). I would also like to avoid the acne that is often accompanied by the dramatic hormone swings that cycling brings. I have no problem with pinning every week for the rest of my life. I think most of the concerns that people often have about TRT are not issues for me, and like I said I wouldn't be using a bunch of crazy compounds so I think longevity would be fine. I also really like that if I was eventually able to get medical TRT, I'm getting pharma grade gear instead of injecting who knows what and who knows what dose from a UGL. A couple other things to add: I've had many blood tests for testosterone and mine sits right around 500 on a scale of ~330-1200. While it's technically in range, it's definitely on the lower end. I'll also mention that I'd be 24 when (if) I decided to pull the trigger on AAS. Do you think blasting and cruising might be a viable option for me?

I respect all of you guys on the forum and have built some great relationships with many of you, I do want you to be honest with your opinions though. Thanks guys

I do not recommend intentionally stopping your natural production permently. Today, you may not care, but later on you may. You never know what the future will bring. There are also risks involved with taking AAS as well as financial requirements

Care to elaborate on that? As for the financial point, which is a good one, I make good money and that's not really a concern for me.

Don't see myself being with anyone other than my wife in the future although I'm sure every divorced man ever has said that at one point haha. No harm in freezing sperm, I'm definitely open to doing that just in case

I say no. Rich Piana says no. U gotta let your body rest. When u blast and cruise the drugs controll u. You are not in charge anymore. And, you are burning your recpetors and eventually the drugs will not work so good. For a pro or a maniac this isnt a problem cause they just up the doses. But i guess thats a path u dont wanna go.

Coming on and off/ gaining/loosing 25 pounds isnt that dangerous. Ive done it for 20 years and my bloods were pretty ok 3 months ago.

If u are concerned abouth health clean diett is everything. And cardio for heart.
Though, i have been eating like a looser for 20 years and had a very min of cardio, but...im stil around.

I think that this is the source of the cycle versus blast and cruise debate. The extent to which cycling AAS is harmful to one's health is generally overstated, although personally I think that a steady TRT dose of testosterone and the occasional, moderate blast seems as though it would yield less side effects in both the short and long term. I do think you raise a great point about letting the drugs control you when you cruise-- for some individuals I think this is especially true. Thanks for your input Sil

Last time I had free test done was about a year and a half ago. I had two tests done because I was feeling some low test sides. The first test came back at 50 on a scale 47-244 and the second came back at 81 on the same scale. Since then I haven't had free test done again, however I know my total test has dropped about 50 points since then so I wouldn't be surprised if my free has dropped a bit as well.

In of the opinion that cycling short amounts of time is pretty silly. Why would you put your body through the flux of going on and off AAS every 10-12 weeks? My thought is if your going to cycle, make it for more appreciable time frames such as 20 weeks or longer. If you think about it. It takes probably 10-12 weeks to fully recover from a cycle.
Basically as soon as you fully recover you hit it again.

I think where people get into trouble is running too much in too short of a time frame then not giving the body time to full recover.

So instead of the typical 500 for 12 weeks for a first cycle, you think something like 350 for 20 weeks would be better?

For someone who has never cycled you are making a big decision. Why the big hurry? Take it slow you got time on your side.Doing things like you are planning wont make you a beast any faster. But could play hell with your postrate.

    ^^^This.

Think about the decision of doing a 1st cycle. Why think ahead?

    One step at a time.

Agree with the two above. Plan a solid first cycle and make these decisions when the time comes... possibly after a blood test once you have PCT'd and recovered.
