I just bought a bottle of b12 after reading all the posts about it. I told my doctor I was taking it and that it was 1000mcg/ml. He said it was useless because your body only uses 2mcg a day and 4mg in your life time. Has anybody else heard of this?

interesting...bump for more info
Tell him to prove it or bow his head.
he said he's gonna get it in writing fo me, once he does I will post it.
What a stupid thing for a doctor to say. What if a person has a deficiency in it? Wouldn't that person use more?
well he told me that it's only usefull if you have anemia (caused by b12 deficiency), or if you are a vegetarian. ( because it is made by healthy intestines.
Your liver is supposed to be able to stock enough B12 to last about 5 to 10 years.
Most doctors don't think of B12 deficiencies because of this. B12 deficiencies have been linked to all sorts of Psychological problems. It's also linked to Alsymer's and dementia.
Best source of B12 is organ meat, specifically brain and liver. After that it's red meat, which is why most vegetarians end up with B12 deficiencies.
Google B12 deficiencies and you should find some very interesting info.
thanks for the info Dem
Fuck him. :wg: I use B12 twice a month and I feel great. Whatever you don't use you piss out...no big deal since it costs $3 a bottle.Quote:
