Cycle Help (Doc Prescribed, but I don't know if he's full of ****)

Hey guys, first post in this section. Let me preface it and say that I'm glad i finally signed up. I'd visit here and there, but this site is gold.

Quick background: I'm a first responder who was on the midnight shift for the last 3 years, and it definitely took its toll. Ive aged considerably, feel a tremendous lack of energy, sexual drive etc. Lack of sleep will mess a man up. So i went to my doc (who's an anti-aging specialist), but docs are human and id like some advice/guidance on his prescription.

Anyways, heres the cycle i need some clarification with.

My doc prescribed me:

1) Test Cypionate - 1 ml a week (Pinning on mondays)

2) HCG - 500 units a week (Pinning on mondays)

3) Anastrozole (1 mg twice a week) (Mondays/Thursdays)

My buddy scared the shit out of me and told me that that dosage of anastrozole is way too high to start off with. He told me started off at that same dosage and his john refused to get up. Lack of morning wood, weaker boners, etc. As soon as he halved the dosage, it went back to normal.

He also advised that theres a school of thought that claims its better to wait a week or two into the cycle before starting the Anastrozole, as the effects of the test cyp and hcg haven't taken place yet.

Any advice on how much, when to take the Anastrozole? I rather learn how to avoid these side effects through advice and research than the hard way, lol.

1. How much is the 1 ml in mg per ml? IMO I would break it into 1/2 a ml twice a week.

2. HCG - doc is on point!

3. IMO I would wait 2 weeks until you start your AI. Here is the information on that drug. Anastrozole (Arimidex ,Dex) is a fairly potent ai. It is commonly dosed at 1mg/tab or ml of liquid. It, like exemestane, also has a relatively safe profile and may have either no adverse effect, or a slightly adverse effect on igf levels and lipid profiles if dosed properly. It is easier to lower estrogen levels too much while taking anastrozole than it is when taking exemestane. Anastrozole is a more potent ai than many people give it credit for. It also has a longer active life than exemstane so daily dosing is not required. Every other day use is fine with anastrozole. For a common testosterone cycle say between 500-600mgs/week the staring dosage for this ai would be from .25mg-.5 mg Every Other Day.

3) He prescribed 1 mg twice a week. What are your thoughts on starting off .5 twice a week? btw, thanks for the link! I had just finished reading it when i made my way here for my help on my specific case. This is a hell of a site.

I'm also thinking of adding Anavar about a week or two weeks into it. Doc told me its ok, but i have to figure out the dosage/frequency of that.

This thread would get better responses here https://forums.steroid.com/hormone-r...nt-anti-aging/ but purely based things I have read on this site I can say that Doctor seems a bit off. 210mg/wk is a bit high and only one injection per week which would not be optimal in stabilizing your blood levels. Secondly, I do not think you will need the AI as you are trying to get a replacement dosage, not cycle. Thirdly, do not add anything else, like you suggested Anavar before you have worked out your HRT protocol as it will be screwing with blood tests and other things and you will never be able to dial it in.

Yep repost in the TRT section and include your bloodwork.

You have been prescribed TRT not. A cycle. TRT is for the rest of your life not a few months but yes, your Adex dose is overkill, you might not need any at all.

Got you on the adding anything else. Yeah, i had that concern about the once a week pin schedule, that was one of the main reasons I wanted to get some feedback from you guys. But being honest, I always second guess pinning cause it freaks me out lol. So i was willing to go with the flow.

Also, i definitely do not want to be on trt for the rest of my life. I just wanted to get back to normal, I'm going to make sure thats clear on my next visit this week.

What makes you distinguish it as TRT as opposed to a cycle? I'd just like to get back to normal, and then start to bodybuilder again. These last couple years have taken a significant toll on me.

Also, is there a link you could give me that'll show whats appropriate dosing for the adex as compared to what quantity test or X product we're using? I'd like to learn and read up on this.

There seems to be some confusion here. Once on TRT, you are not getting off, it is a lifelong commitment. You are trying to figure a way back and you need to realize this can take a long time. Even thinking about running a cycle for "bodybuilding purposes" is, at this juncture, foolish. One step at a time and make sure to take charge of your own life here and sort this out. Best case scenario you can get back to normal without drugs and worst case you will be injection testosterone for the rest of your life.
