I dont know all the technical mumbo jumbo on anti Es but can i give you a little info on them. from what i understand they are estrogen antagonist. Mainly the biggest reason to use anti e's is to prevent gyno but im just a newbie to gear so if you want a definate answer wait till a mod or vet replies but I thought i would tell you what i know so you could just get an idea about anti es

Anti-e s such as nolvadex , armidex, liquidex, femara, letrozole , aromasin , clomid, etc., are used to counteract many estrogenic effects that often occur during steroid use . They are also used to normalize testosterone levels when anabolics are discontinued. Most cycles require anti-e supplementation especially if testosterone is used. Make sure your have ALL your anti-e s BEFORE starting any cycle.
