I have always went slow just because I don't want my muscle to jump. That way i can relax more, like they said with a sharp needle and the right spot it goes in smooth.

    Whatcha gonna do.....

when shooting into the glutes, dart. elsewhere like legs or pecs, SLOW. the first time i went slow though, i nearly passed out at the sight of the needle going into me like that! but it's better slow. you can feel exactly what you're doing....

I usually do a combo of dart/slow. On glutes usually is dart especially when trying to get thru scar tissue, on quads I usually start dart (half way) and slow the other half of needle. I've had my quad jump only once on me and that kinda stung but I was using a 22g pin cause I ran out of 23's.
