interesting needle question

I'm just curious....

when you pull up the syringe with the stuff you're injecting and get out all the bubbles. -And then when you change to a new needle and get ready to inject, do you press the oil or watherever so that it piples out of the end of the new needle or do you just put the new needle on (and do nothing) and inject directly ?!

There is for sure air in the bottom of the new needle. I havn't pressed the oil trough the new needle and my friend who has done a lot of stuff never has done either. But yesterday when he injected my glute I could really see the bubble from the new needle in the bottom of the needle. Don't know where it went

I've read about 4 different injection "how tos", but neither of them say anything about pressing the oil through the 2. needle....


What do you think about this subject ?

I press the oil through.........

This small amount of air will probably not hurt you, but I do always push the oil through. You only lose a drop or two. Besides, I like to think it helps the needle to slide in easier.

it really doesnt matter as testify said it is not enough air to do damage just make sure to aspirate

Anyone know what kind of harm injection air into the muscles will do?. I know you die if you shoot a big bobble but what if you don't inject that much ? what sort of damage?

I always Pull back on the stopper when the needle is in to make sure there isn´t any blood and then I always get some bubbles into the syringe and I just push it back in. In a steriod book I have they say that air bubbles is not a danger to health it´s just the right practice to expel any extra bubbles. But when you inject air into a vein then you can die...

Hey,
You want to push oil through to lubricate the needle. I usually push two drops out and spin the syringe it makes the needle go in real smooth and there is no air in it.
