High fibre hinder your gains?
Hi guys
I was watching a tv program the other day and it was talking about how bodybuilders use laxatives to help them cut up. I was wondering if having a high fibre diet would make gaining muscle a lot harder?
Thing is i am on a high fibre diet and seem to struggle gaining naturally than i used to!
Cheers
Dave

What do you consider high. 30 grams per day is good. I see it as beneficial.

I believe that the reference made to bodybuilders using laxatives refers to what they do very close to a show when they are trying to lean their bodies out as much as possible. Not a reference or comment on fiber in general.

In the FLEX arnold edition it has a big article on how essential fiber is to the bodybuilder, actually promoting muscle mass
