    Anywhere from 1 to 1.5 grams of protien per pound of body weight is fine. For larger guys--professional bodybuilders that are huge, then probably 1.5-2.0 grams of protein per pound of body weight is used.

    Ground sirloin:
    73% lean = 23 grams of protein per 3oz of broiled meat
    80% lean = 24 grams of protein per 3oz of broiled meat
    85% lean = 25 grams of protein per 3oz of broiled meat

    1lb. = 16 oz.; so 1lb. of 80% lean ground sirloin is = (16/3)x24 = 128 grams of protein.

    By the way, you should only eat about 50* grams of protein per meal or less. Your body cannot process much more than 50* grams of protein at a time.

    *--NOTE: This figure is an approximation. The max absorption of protein per meal is between 45-70grams. Either way, 128 grams of protein will certainly be too much for the body to handle in one meal.
