Aromasin likely to effect lipids?
It's been previously thought that exemestane(Aromasin) had no negative effects on lipids since it worked at disinguaging binding affinity of estrogen, and not aiding in preventing conversion like it's "cousin" anti-e's Arimidex & Letrozole.
Now, I have never seen a study, or blood work showing Arimidex effects lipids, but it has to be a possibilty given it's mechanism of action. It's probably not strong enough in the doses we take(or possibly up to 1mg) for it to produce a drop in HDL. I personally use L-dex specifically because femara has shown to be detrimental to maintaining a healthy HDL level.
I recently found a caption of a study on Pubmed barley mentioning lipid effects with aromasin. I'll be doing some further research on this over the next wk or so to see if I can locate anymore finding pertaining to lipid effect from this particular AI.
If anyone runs across any material which might be helpfull, please contribute.
