    Does Steroids make you Smarter?

    Hey all,
When I was on my cycle, I noticed I had enormously increased brain performance. I was able to concentrate crystal clear. My imagination became more vivid and unreal. When I would picture something in my mind..I could not only see the view more clearer in my mind, but I could also smell, hear, and feel the environment I was feeling upon. I found myself more awake and alert often too, as I was able to go dead asleep like a baby, or to stay awake with energy if I wanted. to It was as if whatever I had commanded my body to do..My body did it 3x the realistic and improved way than without steroids . Anybody have theories/facts to support this question? I am very interested to hear what the outcome will be...allright thanks bros and sissies lol

Well... It'd be "Do steroids make you smarter", not "does", so it seems not.

I think i've read that when on a cycle some people become more focused because of the increase in testosterone ...that could be part of it.

hey bdtr, grammar is not my first priority like yours is. I focus on the 'meat' of the information. Jokes and popularity races are NOT my speciality. Yes, steroids do make you smarter, because on it, I remember things easily, and number values are not hard to forget.

They do not. arent you the kid that went on a cycle at 19 and everyone talked you into stopping mid way? ...you havent been through a full cycle anyway how would you know.

BTW... Im not the flaming type but you always give false info to questions from other members. I suggest you read and dont hit any "new thread" or "reply" buttons in the near future.

As I recall, there is some science that indicates that steorids should technically impair brain function at some level (I think the study was on rats). However, the increased competition could more than make up for that by making you more motivated. I will search for the article... I recently found some information indicating that steroids lower serotonin levels as well (serotonin = a "happiness" neurotransmitter)

These other immature guys cant answer that question, so since they cant, they will either say a joke...or criticize me about how my information I give to other people is "false" lol. Remember this guys, if you cant answer a question LEAVE IT ALONE! DO not intefere with jokes. Foxy sphinx, I am beginning to understand you...

But wait, with all of the juice you have pumped into your body, this theory should make you (bdtr) about the sharpest thing around here..or at least on par with BigGreen.

My original post was a lighthearted joke, hardly a flame. I'm far too cranky right now to go into it with someone or answer serious questions.

As for the mental performance, it might be a placebo effect. You are excited about being "on," and everything is all rosy. You work yourself up about starting your cycle, you finally get started...and life is grand. That translates into everything you do...you simply feel better about yourself, and your performance increases.

Bro, my post wasn't directed towards you. I just know that taking Test, (especially in my case of having low levels) There is a direct relationship between lowered testosterone levels and impaired memory, inability to concentrate. I definitely seem to have a better mental "well being" while on and I definitely seem to concentrate better.

Seems to be more a function of enhanced mental "well-being" like blt said...i feel more confident and aggressive, so i tackle all of my tasks (even mental ones) with more focus...

from my experience, i'm not specifically smarter, just more focused...kind of like a mental boost (similar to the effects of caffeine, at least for me)

I can only relate this to the viagra commercials. If you have something in life that is serously holding you back then it holds you back in everything that you do. When you got on AS and broke the barriors that were holding you back then you began to excell in everything that you are doing.

Oh yeah, Did you get a new haircut?

Well if you consider smarter to be lifting heavier weight than I would say yes. Honestly though when I am on test I rarely think with my brain, and most most of the time by dick does all the thinking.

I think a lot of women and especially lesbians think testosterone is the stupifying hormone, that is unless you are a lesbian and shooting yourself with 600 mg a week, hehehe.

I have to agree because I am also on HRT and suffer from low testosterone levels . The reason you may feel better is because you may in fact have naturally low testosterone and when you have more in your bady than usual you get the sense of well being and feel like a million bucks. I'm in sales and my numbers show that the months I am on a cycle I have more sales because the other moneths I'm just not motivated. I don't think they actually make you smarter cause Ronnie Coleman sounds like he's half retarded when he speaks, but I think because you do feel jakked up and great, your also more alert and motivated to do normal everyday tasks. I loathe yardwork, but on a cycle I use it as a workout, just remember to switch sides LOL! I think it's the sense of well being that makes you more attentive to details and therefore may lead to becoming smarter only because your more willing to pay attention to the little shit! Just my .02

Interesting point guys. Thank you all (you know who you are) for your professional straight reply. BLT, I am beginning to come to the conclusion that I may have low natural test..because with im not on steroids ..its harder to concentrate, I feel tired a lot, and im usually aggravated, but when im on the juice, I feel like f*cking god, and my mental compacity boosts greatly.

oh and i forgot to add, this may sound a little funny, but when I was on the juice My drive was unreal, I actually gasped at the sight of all that cum shooting off. Usually when im natural, theres like only 3 little shots of cum thats dribbles out and thats it man. Should I get checked by a doctor? I hope I have low natural testosterone so a doctor can hook me up guys!!!! I would Love that, please by god, I have low natural test.

You so crazy, smarter no way but you may feel better mentally especially if you had chronic low test levels and your on a test cycle.

lol doc holiday, I admit I laughed my ass off too, I intended the topic to be something funny so I can attract a variety of wonderful people like you! You see...I am getting bored of regular, stupid topics being asked the same time weekly. So what I intend to do, is create unique topics with some humor behind it, so i can attract viewers. But, what I see is extremly immature behavior, especially coming from MODS (which I never expected) exploiting my jokes to their full pleasure...I guess people like BDTR and a variety of others just cannot handle a little light joke to go along with the topic/and/or text structure. I will keep notation of this for the next time. I have read an article from MD magazine, and I will look over the entire magazine for that particular article to show you guys steroids DO make you smarter for at least some people.

I have a friend who is an oral surgeon and a fairly successful bodybuilder. In college he told me that his grades were always better when he was juicing.

I wouldn't think steroids would make someone smarter. Is it possible that they could make someone more focused and attentive ?

    OMG...
I can't believe this post got replies...But if I must...
testosterone levels have little impact on brain wave function in otherwise normal adult males.
Test can control reactionary features...ie temper, sexual desire yadda yadda..
