how long does our natural hormones remain active in our bodies?

i was always curious about this. does anyone know? estrogen, for example, would remain active in our bodies for days, hours, minutes, etc? also, what about test?

FOr a man's body, liver can remove and dispose of 100 mg per hour of testosterone ... just because it "can" remove this much doesnt mean it "will". For this reason there is a good arguement to avoid prop and use long time released esters, one study showed some people had liver remove 40% of prop injection within a few hours, while test enanthate makes maybe 1 or 2 mg available per hour around the clock.

As for estrogen/progestrogen, these are such rare hormones for men that the liver and kidneys are not set up to remove excess amounts rapidly, thus estrogen is slow to be removed from the body and can build up to bad levels. In women the opposite is supposedly true, women can quickly remove excess levels of estrogen, but androgens and testosterones are such rare hormones, they are not set up to remove it quickly, so androgens are profoundly more reactive in woman then men with smaller amounts, just like estrogens are profoundly more reative in min with smaller amounts.
