Cortisone shots and ..............

How long do they stay in your system ? I want to start my cycle but I want to be safe. I need to hear from a Doctor on the board !!
I have to get a series of three seperate shots and I just got the first series yesterday and the last set will be administered on December 4th. How long after that is it safe to start my cycle ?

I cannot believe not one response. Are there no Doctors in the house ? Someone has had to had cortisone shots here.........

I know this wont help you but I have had cortisone in my knees and shoulders but this was long after my roid days. My memory is pretty vague but I want to remember that cortisone doesn't stay in your system very long. Less than 30 days. It's also something that shouldn't be given more than just 2-4 times a year. Please remember these memories are vague. I wish I could offer more.

Do you know exactly what corticosteroid you are going to be given?

Long half-life (36-54 hours)

Betamethasone
Dexamethasone

Medium half-life (18-36 hours)

Methylprednisolone
Prednisolone
Prednisone
Triamcinolone

Short half-life (8-12 hours)

Cortisone
Hydrocortisone

Why don't you want to mix cortisone and steroids ? What will happen?

Yes , I hear it will put me in a catabolic state , so I'm opting not to start my cycle for a week after the shots are done. Atleast this is what I have found out.....it will only be in my system for a short while.

The shots I'm getting are called "Facet" shots , if that means anything to anyone.

Had cortisone shots done twice during 2 differents cycles. The cortisone had no effects what so ever on the steriod , or steroid effects.

wouldn't you want to be on gear to counter the catabolic effects? During the first bit of your cycle you don't really gain too much anyway.. so why not just use the gear to prevent catabolism?

I had a facet shot while on test and winny. Doc said they are completely unrelated. It was a ways back so I can't remember the dose of cortizone I was given.
