    ADD medication---> Interaction with Steroids

    A friend of mine asked me to post this...
    He is wondering if an ADD medication ( concerta ) would interact badly with steroids because he plans on starting a cycle shortly.
    Any feedback would be great, thanks.

    my understanding is that is just a time release ritalin(melthylphenidate). Besides messing up his appetite/sleep habits, i dont know of any interactions.

    Boom, you know who this is. Well about your question, besides the sides from like sleep dep. and appetite I dont see what else would give neg effects.

    One of the reasons I got on hormone replacement therapy in the first place was for a low-grade depression (long story). Yah, it cured my depression . . . and since AS can affect moods, I'd expect there to be something going on between what the AS is doing and what the ADD meds are doing. Have no idea to what degree, but yah, there will definitely be something there.
    Personally, if it was me, I'd go ahead anyway and stick with very light doses and see what happens. But since it's you, I'd recommend checking with an expert on this stuff.

    Unlikely to have any noticeable sides, but tell him the smart move would be to start on very light doses and see how he responds..
