    hurt hand?

    Hey guys,
About three months ago I broke my hand and partially tore a tendon in my hand. My problem is that the specialist told me to lay off of weights and let it heal for awhile but I ve been waiting on this cycle for the last three months. Just curious if anyone had an injury such as this, and if they went ahead with their cycle?
    Thanks
    Lethal

lethal I feel for you man. I hit my left index finger on a footbal. Stubbed it? Anyway that was Christmas and on the 29th while it still hurt I blocked a pass and my same finger got pulled back and I cant make a fist or strecth it and its swollen and sore. Last saturday at 2 in the morning I went to the ER because I had just broke My RIGHT 4th digit and I couldnt set it myself. (Juice Junkie dont try to put an ankle lock on any drunk assholes while you yourself are drunk) they tend to not like that and kick and scream. Anyways I need a pin in my right finger and my left still hurts but isnt broken. I will be out for 8 weeks and I planned on doing a cycle on the 15th. Now I plan to do triceps, pushups, maybe some biceps, and a hell a lot of legs. But I'm not using any gear because I dont want to waste it.

I hear ya bro sucks getttin injured. I really dont think that it will really injure it to use it just prolong the healing process. Dont know I m goin back on the 31st and if he says that its improving then I goin back on. This is really screwing up my plans!
    Thanks guys

I dont know about the cortisone unless its hydrocortisone for dry skin lol. My advice is not to do it because for me I cant do so many excersizes with a cast so it would be a lame cycle not because you might injur it. I'm sure you would be careful. I will have a cast but you may not.

Bro i am the king of hand injureys, in one year i had surgery three times on the same hand, 2 boxing fractures and a deep laceration to the inside of my hand that needed nerve repair . You should be working with a physical therapist. Are you able to lift again? Im assuming yes since your planning a cycle. At what % are you lifting at if 100% is pre-injury?

    Cool Back to Lethal's Original Question . . .

Hey, Lethal . . . Doing a cycle and working out go, if you'll pardon the pun, hand in hand. (Ba-da-bum!)

So the answer is: No. DOn't bother doing a cycle unless you can max the effects by doing a solid workout routine. If you can't exercise during your recuperation, all a cycle will do is add weight - mostly water weight - without giving you the opportunity to tone the weight. Muscular bulk is cool; plain ol' weight is not.

As frustrating as it is, let the injury heal until you are ready to use the hand. Tendon injuries (including tendonitis and tenosinovitis) are like a cold - if you don't lay off, all you will do is extend the length of the recovery, if not make the condition worse.
