Its not the testosterone, its the estrogen which is causing the water retention.Quote:

Estrogen affects the renin/angiotensin system, which results in increased aldosteron levels. This causes sodium retention, which causes water retention.
I think estrogen also causes an increase in ADH (antidiuretic hormone) too.
