How important is sleep while on a cycle?

It seems there just is not enough time in the day to get 8-10 hours of sleep. If im only getting 6-8 hours of sleep each night how with this affect my cycle results? My diet is strict, and my protein intake is around 300-400 grams/day. Granted your body needs down time to assimilate the protein and what not, but is sleep really as big a contributing factor to overall growth as some people state?

Try and get your 8 hours ( although I find it hard to sleep at all when I'm on ) Thats when your muscles are repairing themselfs. If you don't have enough time for 8 hours, It looks like you'll have to leave your job.

My god, eight hours of sleep in one hit would be devine. You're right txlonghorns, there's never enough hours in a day to do everything . I watch my food intake, I train hard and I work nights. By the time I get other chores/errands done in the day time sleep seems to be something I slip in a little of in between.
And if those damn kids don't take that f*cking basket ball else where, I'm going to slash it. Under my bedroom window is not the place to bounce the damn thing.
    Cheers Chyna

    Question Kinda thought it was

Knew it was important but damn, i work 50 to 60 hours a week, have two kids(a 5 yr old and a 3 month old), a wife(damn!), and a business that we own. So my question is-what is 8 hours of sleep and how does it feel.By the way, drive to and from work two hours every day also.

    Sleep

Getting right amount of sleep for you is #2 behind eating if you ask me. Then training then gear.

sleep is extremely imprtant imho, problem is i never get enough of it. especially when on. seems like 5-6 hours a night max is what i get while cycling. when i come off it goes up some, but not too much.
however i do eat well, and train hard, also keeping the high amounts of protein in me. i dont think you can totally make up for lack of sleep, but at least you can try to do the other things right to alleviate this somewhat.

Your body grows when you are at rest, not at the gym. Try to get at least 6 GOOD hours of sleep, cause if this fina & cyp my sleep is restless & I'm holding so much water that I wake up every couple hours just to piss. Very annoying, to make it worse I stopped smoking bud to clean out (trying to get a new job) so now I don't even get the stoned sleep.
