Curious. When injecting do you use the dart method, or slowly push it in?

I've always done the dart method, but lately I'm reading about guys who slowly push it in? Which one do you prefer?

I'm a slow pusher. I don't like to shock my body fast like that. I also seem to bruise when it goes in to fast. I'm also the type of kid that tip toes in the water instead of jumping right in so go figure.

I go slow, simply because I've gotten to the point where I can kind of "sense" when I'm about to hit a nerve. The absence of that pain is reason enough to take the time.

Break the skin fast but sometimes scar tissue gets in the way, I push the needle in the muscle slowly to avoid jabbing a nerve.

Interesting. I never pictured anyone pushing it in slow. I think since I've always have a difficult time injecting myself, I will try the other method my next cycle.

I've tried both, but it seems to hurt less and I have more control pushing it in slow.

my sentiments exactly, couldnt have said it any butter... better.

I'm the same - I now just go slow and push in gently so I can feel exactly whats happening.
When I used to dart I continually kept hitting nerves and thats a bitch!

    GO SLOW!

Damn. This thread surprised me. I would have guessed 90% dart it in. Its the only way I ever tried it. I figured it would hurt slowly pushing it in. Hm. Something to think about for about 3 seconds. Ok Im done.

I go slowly, if you go too fast you can cause the muscle to jump.

Bro, I totally agree. I'm really shocked!!!! I thought all along over 90% of people use the dart method. Shit, I did for 16 weeks!!! I probably only hit a nerve 4-5 times. I also think for newbies this would be easier to do. hell, you can basically close your eyes and push the pin in!

i am the exact opposite, i use too slowly push it in but now I dart it. I dont prefer one way over the other though. I can see the point of going slow with the whole nerve thing though. Luckily, i have never hit a nerve. I go in the same spot all the time. I dont get creative.

Slow, you can tell if you're hitting a nerve and can move to a new spot.

I did a search, he says he's 20. His build is more like a 16-17 year old.

I haven't done a cycle yet but my buddy is a p*ssy so I jab him. Nice and slow, I get a kick out of the faces he makes. I know I'm sick.
Really though, he said it hurt worst afterwards if I darted him.

I go slowly, darting with a 25g is likely to bend or break some needles.

Like I said before - I used to dart and then one day, when I was at band camp........

Sorry, bit side tracked there! One day I was darting this Aquaviron (test Suspension) and needed to get it in and I must have darted 5/6 times and every time I hit a nerve or my leg jumped. It was then that I thought, F*ck this, I'll gently push it in and I couldn't believe how easy it was. I did about 4 or 5 cycles using the dart method and now its a nice slow push.

    Same here...

As I go in slow, I can feel if I'm hitting a nerve or a vein, and then I can re-orient or pull out if need be.

As a result, during my last fina EOD cycle of 8 weeks, I hit thru a vein only ONCE, and that was the only time I had any traces of injections on my body.

The "take your time" method does have some pretty good advantages to it.

my girl gives me mine, and has gotten quite good at it... smooth as silk, that is, unless she's pissed at me about something,,, then it feels like she takes a running start and shoves it in sideways,,, her foot in my ass that is... but the shots hurt too!!

same here, and like pheedno said, the risk of hitting a nerve is worth going slowly.
