go with the 1.5" for glutes
They will work fine as long as you are lean.
even if you've got low bf, i'd still go with 1.5" the deeper the inject, the better

I've been out of 1.5's for a month, and have been using 1" cuz I have several boxes...no problems. But honestly, I only hit glutes when I've used up every other spot.

I'm the same way, glutes only when I have too, but I use a 1" pin on them.
I used to rarely hit the glutes, but now I love to hit them, I hate the quads now.
