I don't think the original post was made to say there was a problem with any mod.. I think he made it with 100% of its intentions to solve the 148 newbie questions asked everyday that coudl be answered by reading educational threads..

I repeat i do not think the original post was to say ANYTHING about ANY mod not being qualified or able to do the job..

Wow, someone that had actually read my posts...not just jumped on the "mods are great" bandwagon. I havent said one negative thing.

Some of the reponses from people with thousands of posts are just down right surprising.

Since I started this thread...can I be the one to request it be locked?
The responses have long since drifted from constructive.

prot i suggest if you have a problem with the doc, you take it offline and sort it out. You are not going to gain any friends like this and to be honest this thread is going the way of a deletion anyway, it started off pointless and now is going in a totally different direction. Since when can't a doctor spell "sacrifice"? Judging by Doc M's flip and erroneous statements concerning testicular and prostate cancer in another thread, I question whether he is qualified to be a medical Mod. Has anyone actually seen his medical license? It seems odd that a physician would not know some basic facts regarding cancer and now would misspell "sacrifice".

I really do love this board...the last thing I want to do is alienate myself from my fellow members......the responses to my initial post...made my post seem more abbrasive than it was. Its so funny to read my nonconfrontational, constructive, and positive suggestions and then see posts like....if you dont like the way jason runs his board, go make your own. Funny sh!t

Having been a member of many boards where "mods" scammed and reverse scammed, I have no high regard for mods. Most are just on a power trip..a few care for helping others. They cross the line when they are not answerable to others or give bad advice without thinking, just because they have positions of power. Big Kev was only one but many boards are run by mods who turn scammer or extort drugs from suppliers to " bump" them to members. A board is only as good as its mods and if the people here are willing to roll over for anything a "mod' says they deserve their fate. Ignorance is not bliss when you are dealing with health issues and real people's lives.

They cross the line when they are not answerable to others or give bad advice without thinking, just because they have positions of power. I spoke with Jason earlier, and he wants to wait for Doc to respond the the comments directed at him....then this puppy is gone. Boy did I create a monster with my good intentions here!

Yes, I have made 2 bad choices out of a LOT of mods (bigkev and TNT) - but we have so many good ones you have no idea how many people we turn down - and how many of our vets who we simply cant make mods just yet but may be in que are made Super Mods somewhere else but anyway, we dont bring anyone into the family if even 1 person has doubts about them - and I can tell you for a fact that while there are great guys and gals eleswhere its true - we have the best group of mods on the boards

Like Cycleon said Dents a good guy and he meant no harm guys. I would think that the idea was pointless also but I would never have taken offense to it by any means. Mods are Mods because we can for the most part be trusted. I mean no one can be trusted 100%. I know there have been some bad apples on every board in the past. What you all have to remember here is we mods are all still human (though I'm not sure bout BDTR) . Sometimes we are tricked by dirtbags just like everyone else. But for the most part we have been around long enough to know better.

FWI I didn't know DocM was a spelling specialist. We all get lazy. Except for a very few I think most of us have made spelling errors. If your gonna call the guy out for a spelling mistake and say he's a liar because of it thats stepping overboard IMO. If I were Doc I would be livid. IMO we are very lucky to have him here. I question whether an obvious spelling error indicates a high level of education. This was not a typo as the letters are not near each other on the keypad. He simply did not spell it correctly. This, coupled with his inaccurate or flip answers to the other thread make me question his credentials, or his care in answering. When a doctor does not seem conversant with the latest research I head for the door. There are many people out there who have successfully led lives as "doctors" for quite awhile without having any real credentials or medical education. Spelling, like grammar is indicative of a person's education and I don't think many physicians misspell simple words.

And there is ABSOLUTELY nothing erroneous in my statements about prostate and testicular cancer..Your stand is that they only are seen in certain age groups, and that is the most foolish thing I have ever read..Testicular cancer is seen in a plethora of age groups..Prostate cancer, though it generally is seen in the older age groups, is not solely isolated to them exclusively..Rear the post by Rickson..42 is not considered the norm for this type af particular cancer to be seen, but it is more often than you obviously know..
