reinjecting aspirated gear (with blood)
what's up, guys...
yesterday was the first time i aspirated blood when doing a glute shot---i injected in the maximus portion, rather than the medius portion of the glute, by mistake...(ALWAYS ASPIRATE , EVEN WHEN DOING GLUTE SHOTS, FELLAS!!)
question...is it safe to reinject the solution with aspirated blood? issues of contamination should not apply, since its MY blood? correct...HOLLA...

As they said, it is your blood. The worst that will happen is a small bruise willl be visible for a while. Shoot away.

its ok to re inject the blood the only reason a nurse throws everything away is because it is a courtesy to the patient. but they told us in nursing school it is ok to reinject as long as it is ur own blood and u do it right away.

Change needles, re-swab the area with alcohol, and stick away..You will have NO problems!!!

I popped my first vein a few days ago also. Kinda freaked me out when I saw the blood going back into the dart. I had really gotten to where I didn't pay much attention when aspirating. I did a quick second take and saw that blood and was like "holy sh*t"! Probably a good thing in the long run to keep me on my toes when shooting up. Just replaced the pin and shot it in about an inch higher.
