hip injection?
has anyone ever tried the ventrogluteal site(hip injection) in my nursing fundamentals book it says this is the best site for an intramuscular injection. due to the fact that there are no nerves or major blood vessels but in my opinion it seems painful. i tried to take a digital pic of the page but it didnt come out. but if i can figure out a technique i will post it here. i was just curious if anyone has used ti before.

I attached the description of the Ventrogluteal injection and the link where I found it. I don't know if this will link directly, but there it is. The link also has descriptions of shoulder and thigh injections.

Also includes dorsogluteal injection. That link works, so don't worry about the attachment.

I have tried it , painless just like glutes , dont stick it with a 1inch , i used a 5/8 and think that was long enough . But i would not do it again . I dont think its a very thick musscle so you cant inject very deep . There are better alternatives like glutes , quad ( vastus lateralis ) , delts .
