How to measure Dextrose ?

Can someone tell me how to measure how much dextrose = 1 gram or carb?
being that it is pure sugar, is one gram of dextrose = 1 gram of carb ?
If so I guess I have to weigh it or figure out hat a table spoon of dextrose is equal to.

gram is a gram like whitey said but how the body reacts to it is a whole different animal

Is there an easy way to measure a gram or 10 grams without buying a scale.
Such as 1 teaspoon or tablespoon is approximately 1 gram?
