Why did your doctor put you on HRT? What did you see him for?

Your doc's trying to turn you into a porn star with the test and dostinex
Your serum prolactin levels were high and/or you had prolactin gyno?
Even 200mg EOW will shut you down, so supplementing with additional test is fine......but he'll probably run blood tests in the future and check test levels.

How are you going to explain your crazy high test levels when he gets your bloodwork back? Use cyp over sust IMO, if you have access to both. It would be better to hear from others, who are actually on TRT, to see how often your serum test will be checked. If it's too frequent, it may not be worth supplementing with more test, as he'll cut you off if your test levels are too high.....you can't just slip that by him.

I ran into the same issue. I am on HRT and my dr. wanted me to take Blood work a few months later to check my levels. Well, being on a cycle, I thought I was screwed. Good news is I told him that my insurance won't cover another blood test so soon...I got out of it...

Is keeping your test levels up your main priority or is getting rid of your lactating breats the main priority right now? Are you about to go on stage in the next month or two? I just ask because unless I was about to go on stage I wouldn't worry about losing some mass if it meant my new breasts would go away. Therefore I would do everything exactly as the doctor says without any suprise test shots in there. Just my opinion.

Not a bad idea. How often do they ask for blood since you've been on?

In response to bookman....the Dostinex will take care of the prolactin.....extra test or not.

My situation is a bit odd. My Dr. really doesn't have a clue about HRT. He has 1 or 2 patients on it. I actually have to explain everything to him. I've been on now for about 5 or 6 months and he hasn't asked for blood work accept that one time. His main reason for the blood work actually was because he read an article about Testoserone and Prostate cancer. I then came back to him and showed him 20+ studies proving him wrong. He said, thats fine, but i just want you to know the negatives of test. So, honestly, I don't think he will ask again. Now that I'm off my cycle I will probably have him test me in the next couple of months so I won't have issues with my next cycle...

It's good he's trying to verse you on the negatives of test. Maybe a good time to bring up that topic again is when he's struggling to fit the blood pressure cuff around your arm

He's actually right when it comes to depression. I have heard of some comitting suicide but very few cases have been reported. If you think about it you never hear about steriods causing anything terrible or hear about a death from steriods. Im not being ignorant and saying they don't happen but they do not happen enough for the public to know about. Many on AR can remember there first cycle and how badly they messed it up. I, like most people was an idiot doing gear and I crashed and burned! Badly! Depression moves right in and takes over your body without time to do much of anything. It happen's alot and if you ask me your better off having it happen to you! You will understand AS better and be wiser about the next time. Knowing what signs to look out for and what to stay away from...
