View Full Version : What’s your diuretic of choice…

I got a show in April and i haven't dicided yet on what diuretics i will use. So, i have a question for those who have competed, what diuretics do you like and why, how long before the show do you use them etc.

I have tried Lasix and it made me to flat, and used Taraxatone (over the counter herbal diuretic) and it worked Ok, but i had to use it for 3 days before the show and messed up my carb up.

So let's hear it Guys...

over here in spain we have one called something like fordiuran its way cool , if u take youre minerals and eat shit the day of the contest youll be in top shape,aldactone is popular but it softens me out man ands stops me`pissing,maybe you have to take a lot more pills,

I used HCTZ w/ potassium for my last couple shows and it worked perfectly. I did take it a few days before, didn't really need too but I was really worried about water weight so I did... I've used aldactone here and there and never see good results with it. For me though, the HCTZ was awesome.

There are tons of pix of me on a lot of boards...most of them are fakes though :)

You have great abs which are key to any physique so i'll just imagine the rest :D

NICE ABS IRON QUEEN-- MY FAVORITE DIURETIC IS MOST DEFINATELY ALDACTONE (SPIROLACTONE) AND DYAZIDE. I START 5 DAYS OUT 80 MGS ALDACTONE 40 IN THE AM AND 40 IN THE PM, INCREASING IT TO 100 MGS BY DAY 2. I WILL TAKE DYAZIDE APPROXIMATELY 4 DAYS OUT AT 25- 50 MGS A DAY. I DO KEEP INJECTABLE LASIX ON HAND JUST IN CASE, BUT IT DOES FLATTEN ME OUT. GOOD LUCK
