Pride trying to sign Gardner

Yomiuri Sports reports that DSE/PRIDE is in negitations with the agent of US Olympic wrestling gold medalist Rulon Gardner, with the intention of signing him to a fight contract.

Well if you can win by just laying on the mat like he did the gold he'll do good j/k..........

that's a PR move for sure,

no olympic wrestler will win against a experience MMA fighter with MMA rules, they'll probably set him up against a japanese fighter and make it a "US VS JAPAN" showdown matchup

ahh well, hopefully this gardner guy can pick up some kickboxing and jujitsu moves pretty quick

Yeah bob sapp is a muscle beast no doubt about it but I have 500 times as much respect for Karelin. IMO hes the greatest athlete ever!!

Karelin is the greatest athlete ever in the sport of wrestling. One of My coaches wrestled him in the olympics and said he has never felt a stronger man in his life....
