has anyone used the new oral TRT treatment called STRIANT SR.it is a mucoadhesive ,buccal delivery tablet which you stick on the gum.
i was wondering if anyone had tried it and what results they got in comparison to androgel or androderm patch.
this is directed to those on HRT as opposed to cycling.this is so i get a subjective opinion on STRIANT.
you can read about it at http://www.rphlink.com/straint.html

it may have been a bit premature.i asked swale the trt specialist about striant sr his reply was:-
"I think I would only prescribe it for patients who I really do not like.
In all seriousness, at this time there are no safe AND effective oral TRT delivery systems."
if it was effective it was a less intrusive treatment.
some people do not like injections.
others experience dermatitis from the patch.
with gels you have the aspect of cross contamination and also the fact you have to refrain from swimming for 5-6 hours not very handy if your on vacation.
i thought this might have been a solution but for now i will go with swale's opinion he's the expert!

I have skin irratation / breakout with Androgel and my doc spoke to me about it this past visit. He said you had to put the item on your gums 2x per day and then make sure it doesn't fall out.
It didn't sound like a relatively good option for me, so I am going with the injectible.
Also I found out that Androgel now comes in a pump, so if your dosage is between 5mg and 10mg you can now get something that fits your needs. My dosage is about 7.5mg and before there was nothing I could do to hit it.

I've tried it. It takes a little while for it to get a good hold but, after it spreads out a little bit then you hardly know it’s there. It doesn’t have a taste unless you touch the tip of your tongue to it which the directions advise to refrain from. I didn’t have a problem eating at all. I stopped taking it though because I didn’t have anything else on hand to fight the side effects. It seemed pretty potent as well, at least for me, I felt like Superman on it. And when I stopped taking it I felt like I’d been doing opiates for 20 years and stopped cold turkey. I’m glad I didn’t take it any longer than I did without preparation.
