If you look closely, you'll see a big scar on each shoulder, actually....I've had surgery on both...
Swiss Ball work will help you with that kind of injury....at least it helped me...

I'd roll off that **** thing.. in fact i have joking around with heavy weights on it. It is good for sports/injury training, but is **** for hypertrophy. You dont look how i expected you... for some reason i pictured you looking like something from the future.. maybe a cyborg or something.

How did you guys all picture me? Remember, I'm not a bodybuilder at all (never was one)...I play a sport (rugby) with a high level of Mixed-Fuel requirements, and need to be able to run around a field for 80mins...
I can still squat around a quarter ton (just about 500lbs, no belt, no suit, no wraps), bench around 350(+?), etc...but honestly, my training is more sports-specific, and less pure weights...I only do 1-2 weight excercises 3-4 times a week...the rest of my training is going to rugby practice, swiss-ball/stability work, rehab/prehab, and track work.
how did you guys picture me?

Looking good Hook. . I have a swiss ball at home but I ONLY use it for ab work and maybe lower back (body weight only) but I would use caution using any weights escpecially heavy can CAUSE injury. I see many trainers sometimes showing clients the ball with weights and I usually cringe. Balance & stabilzing is important and you could roll off if not experienced and if you had a db's then your natural tendency is to try to not fall off thus straining something in the process. But if use properly then I suppose you would be okay.

Well if you guys grew rugby players as big as they grow them in the NFL, you'd be padded also. I've been to alot of Rugby matches and NFL games and while both are mens sports, they hit harder in the NFL. Just a subjective opinion as I was born a Yank but dads from Wales so I grew up watching both.

I always like to make the comparison that rugby is a contact sport, wheras gridiron is a collision sport. You simply can't spear someone under the chin without a helmet on...the best NFL players, if they were playing rugby, would hit as hard (and no harder) as the best rugby players.

Yeah have to agree, didnt know that any one played rugby in rugby, mind you Canada were present in the world cups, cant remember if USA was, dont think so mind you.I love the game cant wait to see the Lions in New Zealand, All Blacks should hammer them, specially with Delalio out with a broken ankle.You look well solid and look like a hooker, remind me of James Dalton {from the springboks, solid dude. }

Interesting comparison, the pro rugby players are real tough thats for sure, the grid irons guys do seem to look a bit on the over weight and unfit side in comparison to the rugby guys, but I am little ignorant towards the gridiron as i dont get to see as much as i would like to, do enjoy to watch when its on mind you.

Anway, if anyone wants to see what I look like (face-wise) here's the details of a modeling shoot I did. It was a French Fashion magazine, produced by by the people who make Glamour and shit like that...i.e. Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hillfiger pay to have their clothing in it, not ...umm..."Otomix" or "Labrada-Wear" so if you are into the latter, and not the former you may be disappointed...
The magazine is called "Sport & Style L'EQUIPE"
The spine says:
"Sport & Style LE SPORT SOUS TOUTES LES COUTURES" no. 3 SEPTEMBRE 2005
Andy Roddick is on the cover, in a green hoodie, unzipped, with the hood up.
The address for the company is:
56A, RUE DE FAUBOURG-SAINT-HONORE 75008 PARIS
Tel: 01 53 43 60 00
Fax: 01 53 43 61 61
Now, whatever this says may also be important in trying to find yourself a copy:
Le magazine "Sport & Style" este une publication editee pour L'EQUIPE par LES PUBLICATIONS CONDE NAST SA
SNC L'EQUIPE 4, rue Rouget-de-Lisle 92793 Issy-les-Moulineaux Cedex 9.
Tel: 01 40 93 20 20
The Photo Spread where I appear begins on page 118, and is listed on the table of contents (Sommaire) under "Mode" Mode: Le style rugby par RICHARD PHIBBS
The words on the beginning page of the spread is:
Essai de style
Photo Richard Phibbs

I appear on Page 126. If anyone is still reading this post at this point, I guess I'll tell you that I'm modelling for Polo by Ralph Lauren in the photo...and the whole page is me; although it happens to be a two page photo, the other model in that shot is on the other page of it, pretty much giving us each an entire page to each of us in the shot. Its just a photo of my face, more or less, although I guess you actually see (slightly) the color of the shirt and collar (blue with a white collar).
