Mine, which I received last night, do not have beveled edges like the ones pictured above, and the snake is raised, rather than etched into the surface. Detail is poor as well. Unfortunately, my camera doesn't have a macro feature so pics are useless.

Sound like I'm answering my own question? Insight from others is greatly appreciated. MBH?

Normally I'd say that advice is mental, but, as I mentioned, my source is good. I'm thinking these are just ripp-off BD's, but still legitimate dbols. Waiting on response from source...I left him a message.
