This was not easy for me to do but I decided to post my BEFORE Pics for my 16 week cutting diet. I figured this should help me stay motivated to stay on my diet knowing that people have seen pics and are expecting a change. I'm going to take pics again at the 2 month mark.
Here are my stats:
Height 53
Weight 143 lbs This came as a horrible surprise, hadnt weighed myself in a while
Goal Weight 120 lbs
Body Fat% - unknown
Waist 26.5 inches
Hips 38 inches - Yes I have a big butt!
Chest 38 inches
L Thigh 23.5 inches R Thigh 23 inches
L Arm 11.5 inches R Arm 12 inches

Some of the pics didnt turn out so good, they're kind of blurry but it'll give you an idea of what I'm working with. Ignore the stupid faded tatoo on my shoulder blade, I'm in the process of getting that removed and ran out of money :frown:

they're not happy at all with how they look and don't like the photos...
To be honest, even your before pics show some muscle tone in them
and potential even though you're weren't happy with them...
The second with you in the red showing your back looks alot better...
Middle back definition is coming thru really nice and you look alot more
solid...
What's the time difference between the pics? A few weeks?
Looks like you are well on track to hitting your goals...

From your pics it looks to me as you are a very fit person who just got off the gym in a bit of summer partying for a month or two. You have obviously been in great shape before and as close as you are I think you will be back in your 'happy' range 1/2 or 2/3 into the 16 week plan. Thumbs up to you for taking the time to put up your progress plan.

Actually, the time difference is only 2 days! And the ones in the red are before the ones in the black. I think the difference comes down to the different lighting used, the fact that I took the ones in black (as suppose to someone else) and they were taken in a mirror. In all honesty though, my back has always been my best body part.
I think once I strip the body fat off, I should be able to see some good definition. There is muscle under there....it's just all covered up :rolleyes:

Haha...thanks, you pretty much hit the nail on the head. It hasnt' been the gym so much that was slacking, but diet was waaayyyy off track. Too much winter hybernation and summer partying :7up:
Believe it or not after only 2 weeks on the diet I feel I am looking a bit leaner than when I started. It's probably just water loss at this point but iether way I'm feeling optimistic.
The name fits you ! You look great. Keep up the hard work and dedication...it's paying off.

Props to u Sexykitten for posting your pics. As it is you are pretty lean, I have no doubt you will have acheived your goals well b4 your target 16 weeks. Even a little loss prolly had dramatic improvements. I'm sure with the 5lbs lost so far, there is a difference.

Absolutly, lots of muscle, you look good to start, and will look very good after. Dont lose all the curves, your very sexy that way.

You've got a great base. You look way better than 67% of the women in my town. You have a good butt that can only get better. Hams kinda lagging behind your quads. Your upper body is very symetrical, just kinda small, I guess it's dwarfed by your big legs. Once you lean out the legs, I'm sure your upper body will look proportioned. Good luck.

Your upper body is very symetrical, just kinda small, I guess it's dwarfed by your big legs. Once you lean out the legs, I'm sure your upper body will look proportioned. Good luck.
Hmmm....67% of the women eh? Interesting percentage there. But yeah, you're right, my upper body isn't small, I just have huge legs. I have actually really toned down the leg workouts, only shaping exercises now if that, and they have gotten a bit smaller believe it or not, but my legs are still huge from years of very heavy squating and the layer of bf on them. I am hoping that once I get leaner I will look a bit more proportioned, otherwise I'm not sure what to do about the imbalance. I mean I can keep on building my upper body, but my legs dont seem to want to get much smaller. :scratch:

Well thank you, and thank you to everyone else who had nice things to say but there is always room for improvement. I'm hoping for a 23-27 lb weight loss, only time will tell if that is realistic. The only thing that sucks is there will likely be some muscle loss in there as well, I'm trying to avoid that as much as possible, so far strength as not gone down so thats a good sign, but I got a long way to go.

:lol: I said 67% because in El Paso, they did a study and 67% of the women here are obese. Your not even close to obese though. Any guy here would be proud to have you on his arm and be seen any where.

Uhhh! Thats just Nasty! If 67% are obese then how many are actually of "normal" weight, considering there are still a lot in between obese and thin Must be like 2 percent? I feel sorry for the men in El Paso, unless of course 67% of them are obese as well

There's still decent definition there...and i think you're 8-12 weeks off from being back where you want to be.
Just stick with it...don't second-guess yourself...and remember to adjust/manipulate your macros, and total calories,as your weight drops.

You know what, this is great advice and I would have probably forgotten to do adjust my macros and calories as I lose the weight had you not said this so thank you. I'm wondering if it's best to wait until I hit a plateau then adjust. Not sure I want to reduce caloric intake before it's necessary.

Oh sorry. Honestly I just want to see if I can get into competition shape, if I do, then doesnt mean I will actually compete it's just a personal goal. If all goes well then I would like to get some pro photo pics done and maybe try my hand at fitness modeling. I know it's not easy and there is a lot of competition out there so if I can just lose the 23 lbs for my own personal satisfaction then I am happy with that too.
End physique goal, well like you said, it never ends but ideally I want to be lean and hard but not overly muscular, not a bodybuilding look but def a fitness look.

You know what, this is great advice and I would have probably forgotten to do adjust my macros and calories as I lose the weight had you not said this so thank you. I'm wondering if it's best to wait until I hit a plateau then adjust. Not sure I want to reduce caloric intake before it's necessary.
Um...adjust now..to the number of calories that'd put you at your desired bodyweight. i.e. perceived/desired LBM. To calculate such:
a. Use 12 calories per lb LBM as the fixed point in your calculations.
b. If you start to lose too quickly...bump it to 13-14 kcals per lb of perceived LBM.
e.g. If you're planning to hit 120 kcals...under solution 'a.' you should ingest appr. 1440 kilocalories per day...
Macro allotment is a matter of preference and sensitivity.
If you're not carb sensitive adjust your macros to
1 gr of pro per lb LBM
1 gr of carb per lb LBM
and allot the remaining calories to fat (that'd fall around 50 grams ED)
OR... if you think 50 grams is too high...you could ingest fat at a ratio @ .3 gr per lb LBM (i.e. 36 grams ED)
Personally i'd start at the higher range (i.e. 50 grams) and manipulate it as fat-loss stagnates.
Your 100-120 grams of carb are to spread over breakfast; PWO; and PPWO meals respectively... with the majority consumed in the PWO meal.
on non-lifting days..my macro allotment is as follows:
1.35 gr pro per lb LBM
.3 gr carb per lb LBM
.3 gr fat per lb LBM
On this day..carbs are taken in only in the first meal of the day.

Oh, well I have adjusted my caloric intake and my macros in order to lose weight. I thought you meant as I continue to lose weight I will have to re-adjust along the way.
This is how my macros look right now, I dont think I am far off at all, but I am going to look at your recomendations and see if I need to tweak it. Just looking at it now I think I need to lower my caloric intake on weight training days. Its higher cause I have an extra meal in there (my PWO) and more carbs. Also based on your recomendations my fat grams are too high on my non lifting days, but I had to replace one pro-carb meal with one pro-fat meal.
Weight Training Days 1606 Cal, 190g Pro, 103g Carb, 47g Fat (55%Pro/30%Carb/15%Fat)
Non Weight Training Days 1290 Cal, 137g Pro, 39g Carb, 63g Fat (57%Pro/17%Carb/26%Fat)
Also would I base this on 120 lbs (total weight) or say 105 lbs (Body Weight minus fat weight based on a desired 12% bf @120lbs)

Sadly 75% of the men here are obese. Remember though, women out men 10:1 here. I'm a freaking hotty at 11.2% BF here. :lol: Almost all my brothers fat gal pals think I'm hot. I now I look pathetic, but they think I'm hot. :lol:
I need to get out of here and go some where like NYC where there are more thin people and I can stay motivated.

Yeah thats what I'm doing,high reps only for legs. I had to drop most compound movements though cause my legs grow like friggen weeds.

Looks like you do and you have really thought a lot of this through. You're all ready doing better than 50% of the people that come in to the gym. IMHO
Only thing I would throw out there is that you want to make sure you get enough rest.
It can be just as important as diet.

Oh yeah! I remember reading that if you don't get enough sleep (ie:8+) your body puts out some chemical that gives you the munchies and that doens't help you any.

Well I dont know where you're from but if you look at the kind of people I've seen at the gym, I'm probably doing better than like 80%! Most people I see dont know what the hell they're doing, they show up for a couple of months then you never see them again. I've been in the gym for 10+ years now seriously and about 5 years on and off before that. I'm surprised I havnt given up by now

It's going really well actually, thanks for asking. I'm not hungry anymore in bw meals, the cravings have diminished considerably except maybe a day or 2 before my cheat day, then I start craving things again, and I dont feel as depleted as I did when I first started.
I've lost an inch of my waist and 1/2 inch of my hips and it's only been 3 weeks! Not going to weigh myself for a while though. Time of the month is coming up and I tend to hold a ton of water so I dont want to be dissapointed if I get on the scale and I'm up a few lbs.
I'm going to be altering the diet a bit again though next week, doing some tweaking based on Nark's recommendations. I will be eating slightly fewer calories so my body may have to readjust again. Oh well, gotta do what I gotta do.

How's the diet gone so far?
Diet's going okay, not as great as the first 5 weeks. It was my birthday 2 weeks ago and I took about a 4 day break due to various celebrations. For some reason I found it hard to get back on track and even though I am now I feel like things just havnt been the same since then.
I'm away next week on business for 5 days but when I get back I REALLY have to tighten things up again. I'm going to re-review my diet and then will probably tack on an extra couple of weeks to my diet to compensate for any slacking.

I've always had strong legs and a big butt (Thanks a lot Mom!:rolleyes: ) and they just got extra big from doing heavy squats, leg presses and lunges. When I was at my strongest I was squatting 4 plates a side on the smith machine for about 3-5 reps. I dont do squats anymore, I do one compound movement, usually leg press and the rest are all isolation excersises.

Just a quick note...only if you want to however:
When girls are dieting for Figure shows, and we can't lose the weight..our trainers will switch things up from anywhere between two to five days.
This is what I did, and two pounds instantly would come off....
Two days of a consistant intake of 1500 calories of Protein only.
Chicken, egg whites and Tuna. But, ONLY for two days!
Other that that; they would use a carb rotation for three to four days...one day would be 1300 of a split, day two...1200, cals, and day three, 1500...all with different splits...if you want..I can PM you with the details for those three days...

Yup. Stuck at 134, totally wanting to give up but I wont. Started clen/T3 and hoping to reach my goal by Christmas. I think my body likes being fat!
Hoping to sign a contract with a supplement company to promote one of their products. I'm going to be a "before and after" girl if they take me. That should be enough incentive for me to kick my ass in gear since they wont pay me unless I lose the weight.

I'm going to take pictures again when I get to 130. That will be a 13 lb difference from my start weight and 10 lbs away from my goal weight so should be a visible difference.
I've only lost 1/2 inch from my hips and 1 inch from my waist so not much difference yet.

I'm a little curious about your progress too. Your original pics looked good.. I'm not a 'know-it-all' on women's fitness judging, but I had a solid 6 month relationship with a Maxim model, and I will say... with a good cut cycle/program (assuming you have a beautiful face), your proportion and body would definitely get you a decent modelling job (in other words I'm loving the curves and build..lol). Please post some updates soon, so us 'horny Canadians' (as I read we are---and isn't too far from the truth) can see how you've developed. :) all smiles thus far though hun!!!
