good progress so far, got rid of the belly, now concentrate on your diet and training. Your legs need work as well as your arms are lagging. Your chest and back look like strong points. I would do more squats, deadlifts, and military press for your shoulder development.. Overall good progress, keep it up and you'll look great.
cacti: Thanks brother now only if you were a girl:aaGreen22 JK
Dalton5: Care to explain your random post ?
IBdmfkr Hey IBdmfkr thanks for the heads up man I have been waiting for a critique post. I have come down with the flu and have missed 4 days training. Reading your post makes me want to hit the gym and kill the arms and quads

glad you didn't take offense, when I posted my pics thats the kinda response that really got me motivated, glad it could do the same for you. (I'm personally tired of people sugar coating critiques, doesn't help a thing) and remember to readup in the diet forum, diet is KEY.

more squats and deads, they are essential.. upper can't reach its full potential if you don't bring your legs up with it. "do it"

I do them once a week atleast, I dead 300lb (no straps) and squat 280lb.
Are super sets ok with leg workouts? My arms, lats, abs, back are all worked doing super sets. So just wondering if the same principal can be used with legs? Anyone?

be sure to get deep into your squats for a full range of motion and to really tear the muscle. Yes you can superset legs, but if you have the time I would just say lift heavy and take the appropriate rest. lookin good though, just need some fine tuning.

Thanks again fellas, should have a few more pics up after the w/end.
I'm getting annoyed with two things, my bench hasn't gained a pound in over 3 weeks and worse still I have only gained 7Lb in 2months. I have changed my diet several times over the 8 months training. I am currently 162lb
Chest: 42 Waist: 31 Bicep: 15 Quad 21 Calves: 15
I think it might be time to get lose on the juice :evil2:

7 lbs in two months is very good. most people don't gain that in a year of natural training..(muscle that is).. with the bench every week force yourself to lift an extra 5 lbs on each side, set goals for yourself and make sure you hit them. helped me.

In 5 months I gained 24lb and in this passed 2-3 months I have upped my training and diet, and gains are slowing down faster than I thought. I will def try to up the bench every week. I have put 50lb on my bench in 6 months though the passed two weeks I have been missing a rep or two in my last set. It pisses me off cuz my training partner is as strong as an ox and makes the weight look easy :icon_piss :aaGreen22

Remember bro..you are bobdybuilding, not powerlifting. Just concentrate on making a better phyique, and not so much on how much you can bench, or how someone has a better bench than you.

agree, but you will not grow unless you get stronger. And the other way around. Have you ever seen a bodybuilder that benches 135lbs and squats 200lbs, I havent unless they are a superlightweight.

Look here bro. That is not true at all. My bench and squat has stayed the same over the past 2 years, and I have put on more size since then. If you get stronger along the way, well that's a plus, but it's not must to grow. Believe it or not? That's up to you.

Look here? Thats fine and dandy, get your diet back in check and slim back down then. More muscle = more strength unless you just aren't pushing yourself. Oh and check your waistline, might have grown too.
btw, goodluck in your upcoming comp.

Ok guys relax yesterday was chest/back/shoulders day and I mannaged a PB with my bench (198lb 1RM) and dead lift (322lb 1RM) and damn happy with those numbers.
Zapp, no doubting your knowledge with bb, your size speaks for itself you a monster, though I have to agree with IBdmfkr. I haven't experienced any gains in size without gains in strength.

That's cool Jorg. Glad to see your strength is coming along. When you guys get older, you will realize strength isn't everything. I am satisfied with 315 for reps the rest of my life, and I'll keep growing. You guys keep pushing for the numbers, and when you get injured, and out of the gym for 6 months, remember this post. Good luck to ya both!

My waisteline? Not pushing myself? Took this one last night. Waistline looks pretty good to me for being 8 1/2 weeks out.

Zapp as i mentioned before i don't doubt your knowledge/expiriances with bb thats why i chose my words carefuly not to seem like a punk who knows beter than someone who has been in training for 10X longer. The oposite happens with my arms !! I'm curling atleast 20lb more but no size gains at all my arms are still a tiny 15" pumped :frown:
edit: Zapp you should use that recent pic as your avatar..... Verry impressive

Just give it time bro. You can't expect to grow overnight. Hell dude, it took me over 2 years to put on an extra inch on my bi's. Stick with it...it will come.

Looks like your avatar with a diff. background. I rep 315 for 6-8 as well and as I gain weight I expect to do more. Not that I want to be the one pushing the most weight, I am 24, the last 6-7 yrs of my life have been lifting and eating(meaning I have to make time everyday to work my schedule around it). You assume that we are kids I guess with your comment about "when we grow up". So is this your first comp? Where's it being held and what weight class do you think you will compete in?

Agreed, It takes time with anything. Don't push yourself to do more weight than you can handle with good form. Zapp, do you lift the same as you did 2 years ago when your arms were an inch smaller? Just curious.

It's been up since I joined. I haven't even started to critique you buddy. I haven't stated one negative thing towards you personally, so calm down. And your only 36, you are considered a kid to many veterans that I train with and others on this board. So watch the name calling.
btw, Still didn't respond to my original question about your arms. Thanks.
Ok ok here are a few more pics, sorry about the quality i'm using my handicam :7up: . Now i'm getting the shits with a few things my lats, lower back, calves (not pictured) and my arms def the arms :icon_piss . Oh well my opinion is only worth so much to me so critique away !!!

Look good jorg, you just gotta eat more. If you wanna grow, then up your calories with some clean foods. Chest, traps lagging a bit. But you've got a good base. Keep it up.

There is now a huge difference between these and your first pics- it looks like you're totally leaned down now(which is real good imo) so you have no where to go but up. It's hard to tell whether or not you've gained/lost weight, but you do look alot better so keep at it.

My diet def needs some work, I'm experimenting with middle eastern foods though nutritional values are hard to calculate. IBmf thanks again for an constucive critique :aaGreen22

Thats no good IMO. I know I havent gotten any thicker though leaning out is something I dont want to do. I'm 5lb heavier than last pics (1st page) though putting on weight has been one of the hardest things in my life to do. Remembering when I started I felt like a crack head @ 132lb :1laugh:

HAHA, 132 is pretty damn small! Hey your pushin 140! good job. keep it going, And yea you look much better even with only 5 lbs, it goes a long way. Btw, Jorg don't you think that if your biceps grew and inch that you would lift more weight?(I think my point is pretty clear). peace.

Bro I haven't been lifting long enough to touch this one, but yes I have read an article that states that you can put on size without raising the weight
Quote Collete Nelson
I have to say that training arms is one of my favorite days in the gym. I have always been naturally strong and enjoy the ego boost I get from such a workout. However, I don't focus on how much weight I lift but on how well I lift the weight. You want your muscles to do the work not your joints.
This year, as I prepare for the USA 2003, I am training lighter than I have in the past and have seen my body change the most dramatically. I no longer worry about the amount of weight I am lifting, but rather the way my muscle feels lifting the weight. No matter what your goals are, everyone wants fabulous arms.

This quote states that he was using bad form before and now he is using proper form and getting the most work out of the specific movement. When it comes down to it, everyone will have a different opinion on any subject. Keep us posted on your progress.

Yeah...Like I said before, I've been working out with the same weight for years. I concentrate on the feel and proper technique. If you use a decent amount of weight, you'll grow.
By the way...Keep up the hard work Jorg. Lookin lean bro. Can see improvements...just need to beef up a little.

why would you want to juice and ruin everything? #1 you look so young and #2 you should really really be proud of yourself look how much weight you have gained in past 8 months or year as you say. just keep dieting and working out and being dedicated like you are. look how many ppl are proud of what you have done. that should be good enough motivation for you to push your self to get to where you want which is your goal. keep up the good work bro. dont take the easy way out.
