This is my second day (first cycle) of anavar @ 5mg ED. Planning on running it for 8 weeks. This is my umpteenth cycle of clen but I am trying something new. I read the clen profile more closely and decided to try it for 4-8 weeks (depending on results or how I feel) and every 3rd week have 50mg benadryl before bed for that week. Stats: 5'3", 122 lbs , age 23. Goals: to maintain LBM while losing as much BF as possible (hopefully 7-10 lbs). Oh by the way, this is my 9th day of clen so far on this cycle, I didn’t start with this much. Any critiquing would be appreciated. I am posting this in hopes to get suggestions and also to help other members. Thank you.

I won't post my diet over and over…just when I make changes. I have basically 2 diets, one for weights and cardio days (Diet A) and one for just cardio days (Diet B). I drink 1 to 1 1/2 gals of water a day.

7 Dec 05 (Diet A)

Vitamins: 3g taurine (split), 300mg R-ALA, 2g vit C (split), 4g potassium gluconate (split), multivitamin, 400mg magnesium in the AM, 1000mg calcium before bed, colon cleanse

9:00am - 200mg caffeine, 60mcg clen

10:00am - 45 mins cardio 65-70% MHR

11:00am - 9 egg whites, 3 tbsp cream of wheat

11:15am - 5mg anavar

12:30pm - workout: legs
10 min warm up on stair climber
Squat (smith machine)
WU set: 15 lbs; 15 reps
1: 20 lbs, 15 reps
2: 25 lbs, 15 reps
3: 30 lbs, 12 reps
4: 30 lbs, 12 reps
Leg Press
4 sets @ 40 lbs, 15 reps
Romanian Dead Lift

One-Leg Seated Curl

1:15 pm - PWO shake - 25g whey protein + 46g dextrose

1:30 - 60mcg clen

2:30pm - PPWO - 4.5oz (measured after cooking) chicken breast, 1/2c (measured after cooking) brown rice, 2 tbsp salsa

5:30pm - 3oz chicken breast, lettuce, 2 tsp flaxseed oil

8:00pm - 3oz chicken breast, lettuce, 2 tsp flaxseed oil

10:30pm - 9 egg whites, 1 tbsp cream cheese, 3 ***** complex pills (3g fat)

12:30am - bed

This may all be psychosomatic but, I totally feel the anavar. What used to be my normal weight now feels like nothing, and it is only day 2. But like I said, it may be all in my head. I hate retaining all the water on clen, it messes with my head. I'm not feeling the effects of clen as much now as my body starts to get used to it. I don't think I want to go over 120mcg ED though. I had a lot of energy today…still feeling the cheat day I had on Monday! I think that's all for today…thanks for reading!

10:00am - 40mins cardio 65-70% MHR

11:30am - 9 egg whites, 4 tbps cream of wheat

12:00pm - 30mcg clen, 5mg anavar

2:30pm - 6oz cooked chicken breast, 1/2 tbsp flaxseed oil, lettuce

4:30pm - 32mins cardio 65-70% MHR
I was going to do 40 mins, but I got kinda dizzy so I stopped early

5:30pm - 30mcg clen, 3oz cooked chicken breast, 1/2c dry oats

8:00pm - 4.5oz cooked chicken breast, lettuce, 1/2 tbsp flaxseed oil

10:00pm - 7 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, 3 ***** complex pills

11:00pm - bed

I had lots of energy today, but I found myself really craving sugar after my second bout of cardio. I had a Christmas tree peep….but I stopped after that, even though I wanted the whole package. Retaining a butt load of water, I hate it.

Didn't have an appetite today…felt like I had to stuff food down. I almost threw up when I had my eggs tonight. I hope I'm not eating too much. What do you think? My resting metabolism is 1470 and I try to get about that everyday, sometimes a little less. I have never had a problem with not being hungry…I always am. The last few days it has been tough though. Any thoughts? I also had quite a bit of a headache from about 9pm on. Water retention not as bad today.

The past couple days I have had a horrible sinus infection. I can hardly swallow (there goes my social life) let alone eat. I didn't start feeling really bad until Saturday night. I had followed my diet up until meal 5...then I had gatorade and went to bed early.

When I woke up Sunday morning I felt like I had died and awoke in the third circle of hell. It was horrible. So I tried to get as much rest as I could. I ate soup, popcicles, OJ, and ice cream (for the throat...made me feel a little better too ;)) I don't get sick very often so when I do, I'm kind of a drama queen.

I'm still not feeling my oats today, but I am doing better. So, I did some cardio this morning and had my normal breakfast. Took me a little longer to eat it though. Hopefully the day will go as planned.

8:30am - woke up and my throat and head were killing me, so I took some Tylenol cold and sinus and went back to bed.

10:00am - woke up and felt better so I took 60mcg clen and 200mg caffeine

11:00am - 40mins cardio

12:00pm - 9 egg whites, 4 tbsp cream of wheat, 5mg anavar, extra vit C and E
This took me almost an hour to eat, but at least I got it down!

3:30pm - 2 cups chicken tortilla soup (macro breakdown: 254cals/16pro/34carb/6fat)
I know this isn’t the best thing to have, but I don’t think I could handle solid food yet, that first meal was forced enough. I think the cold medicine has worn off cuz my head is throbbing. I popped another dose of cold medication and my second dose of clen with this meal

6:30pm - 2 scoops whey protein, 6 ***** complex pills
I normally try and stay away from replacing meals with whey but I had class tonight and didn't have a choice. It was probably a blessing in disguise anyway cuz I still feel like crap. How do you guys do it when you get sick? Do you suck it up and drive on or do you take a break and let yourself recoup?

10:00pm - okay I have no appetite whatsoever and my throat hurts too bad to swallow anyway. So im gonna drink some Propel and Nyquil and hit the sack. I hope to god I feel better tomorrow. Im so frustrated I can't eat or train right!!!!!

I never really thought about the push or pull thing. I haven't been lifting extremely heavy lately but I normally have an easier time with back and bis than chest and tris. Why do you ask?

When I come back from this wretched sickness I will hopefully put up better numbers. I don’t lift heavy all the time though, I like to change it up.

ok after today i am feeling much better. prolly 80%. hopefully tomorrow i will be closer to 100% so i can get this sh*t started.

its just my luck that i get sick right when i start my log. haven't been sick in a year. oh well, stuff happens.

anyway here is my most current pic of my back. it isnt very impressive size wise but im not looking to get big. im more into shaping it a bit more...maybe making it a bit more even w/my arms.

Damn! I took 50mg benadryl last night and it knocked me the fuk out! Good thing I didn't have to work today. I felt awesome when I woke up though, looks like I'm good as new

felt good today and I meant to do either a second bout of cardio or lift in the evening but finals are this week and I have 2 papers due tomorrow…yeah yeah, excuses. But I drastically reduced my carbs for the day (only had them in meal 1) in order to account for my lack of activity. Grrr…oh well, tomorrow is another day

Today was a good day energy wise, aside from my morning drowsiness which was probably caused by the benadryl the night before. It feels good to be back!!

well, this is my first cycle of anavar...but i usually wait about 6 weeks between clen cycles. sometimes i wait up to 6 months though.

Clen feels fine. I have a severe ADD problem so I'm used to not being able to concentrate and spending longer studying w/breaks, etc. so I haven't really noticed a BIGGER problem with concentration. After a certain point I think the lack of concentration issue levels off. lol

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while…holidays are kinda stressin' me out. Anyway my diet for both Sat and Sun were the same as Diet B (last used on 8 Dec). I did cardio twice a day but I was running around getting all my xmas shopping done so I couldn’t make it to the gym to lift. I followed the diet to a T on both weekend days with one exception…my company's holiday party was sat night and I had two beers (can't turn down an ice cold killian's). Oh well…they were good :) Still running 60mcg of clen 2x a day. Had my last dose of benadryl last night (Monday) so hopefully my receptors are um, recepting better…hehe. I also am still running anavar 5mg ED.

19 Dec 05

i actually gained 2lbs the first couple days but im assuming it was water. then i got sick and lost 5lbs. i haven't weighed myself for a week or so...i try and stay away from the scale as much as possible cuz it fluctuates so much. i took measurements and pics in the beginning, and im planning on re-measuring at the end of the month to gauge progress.

Same as Diet B, with the exception of the meal after my second cardio session (meal 3). If I have to eat oats one more time I think Im going to hurl…so I replaced the 1/2c of oats with 2/3c brown rice.

11:00am - 60mcg clen, 200mg caffeine

11:30am - 45 mins cardio 65-70% MHR

12:30 - meal 1, 5mg anavar

4:00pm - meal 2

5:30pm - 40 mins cardio 65-70% MHR

6:30pm - meal 3, 60mcg clen

But I could tell at around midnight I wans't going to get to sleep. So I took the melatonin. Im used to it though, so it doenst knock me out too bad...just a nice sleep aid when i need it.

I'd take an anti-histamine over melatonin

oh yeah the benadryl gets me good. but im only taking it every 3rd week and that week is over. do you think i should keep taking it with the clen and all? wont my body get used to it and defeat the purpose? why dont you like melatonin?

I use melatonin.. but it loses effectiveness with consistent use. That's one negative. It's a hormone.. that's a double negative...for me at least. Studies have demonstrated it safety... but some are inconclusive i think.

I'd prefer a safer more effective route.

Antihistamines seem to be that route.

Doesn't have to be benadryl.

There's Claritin; periactin... etc.

I'm just not sure how safe going over 3mg of Melatonin is. (tho i've used higher personally)

yep! I know...its retarted. but i was young, drunk and silly. Everytime people see it they smile though, so in that aspect it was worth it. Ironically enough, i never wear underwear. :scratch: hehe

Well my mom and sister dropped in unexpectedly, which was nice. But we ended up going to Telluride to board and have Xmas there. So, I was totally unprepared. I DID try and eat healthy the whole weekend (excluding xmas, but I was due for a cheat). Made sure that my meals had protein with either some fat or carbs. I may have mixed them a couple times, but not much. Couldn't lift…but I did cardio every day (again, excluding xmas) and boarded. I may have even lost more weight than I would of if I was here. Lol.
Anyway, I'm back now and should be good to go from now on. Im woking on new years so that shouldn’t be an issue. I sooo cant wait till the holidays are over.

Still doing clen @ 60mcg 2x a day and anavar 5mg a day. I don’t have my next benadryl week until Jan 10th. I feel like my strength is going down quite a bit, but maybe it should be expected with the diet, etc. I have decided to do abs every day for a week to see if I can finally get my abs to be sore. Im starting to notice a bit of fat loss, which is good. Hope to post pics soon after the 1st. Diet is pretty much the same except I cut out the dextrose in my PWO. Instead I'll be having 7oz sweet potato w/ 25g whey. I will then cut out the carbs in my PPWO meal because of the whole food carbs PWO. I'll be taking in about 75g carbs a day, which I know is low. So, I will have a carb up day every 4 days or so. Just trying to change things up a bit and keep my body guessing.

Diet is a little different today because I only did cardio. I decided to cut my carbs even more on these days (still planning on having my carb up day though).

11:00am - 300mg caffeine, 60mcg clen

11:30am - 50mins cardio @ 65-70% MHR
12:45pm - 6oz cooked chicken breast, 1/2 c oats, 5mg anavar

3:15pm - 3oz cooked chicken breast, spinach, 2 tsps olive oil, 60mcg clen

5:45pm - 3oz cooked chicken breast, spinach, 2 tsps flaxseed oil

8:15pm - 2 scoops whey protein, 2 tsps Udo's oil

11:00pm - 2 scoops whey protein, 1 oz almonds

Midnight: bed

This diet may seem a little off, but Im trying to cut down on the sodium so I can hopefully see more results.

In regards to your diet:

I wouldn't play with your sodium levels.. the sodium/water rebound isn't worth it.

Unless you're trying to get as dry as possible for a photoshoot... and you're willing to be bloated for the week following (not to mention, weaker), i'd leave my sodium intake where it is.

Sodium manipulation is very very short-term in 'positive appearance-related effect'.

We bodybuilders do it during the last couple days of our contest prep to be hella dry for that one day.

We suffer edema etc. for one week.. sometimes two afterwards.

Yeah, I found this out the hard way a while ago. I didn't do anything extreme, I just stopped salting my food for a couple days. It worked, I seemed to lose quite a bit of bloat.

I had a carb up day Sunday then did my normal cardio diet on Monday (same as Diet B from way back). I didn’t lift because my gym was closed Sunday and had weird hours Sat and Mon.

I've decided to switch up my weight lifting routine a bit by doing circuits for the next couple weeks. I like the cardio aspect of it and it tends to stretch my muscles out more, so I don’t look so bulky. I will split up upper and lower body and do 2 exercises per body part, 15-20 reps, 3 sets each. So, for example, my workout today looked like this:
Upper Body
DB Flat Bench Press
Incline DB Row
Supinating DB Bicep Curl
One Arm DB French Press
DB Lateral Raise
DB Incline Press
Wide Grip Lat Pull

Haha yeah, it seems like a lot…but I'm still always starving. It's actually only about 1450 cals. I had my RMR tested by a BodyGem test which is supposed to be really accurate (go here for info: http://www.ideo.com/portfolio/re.asp?x=50085). The number it came up with was 1470. So that is what I burn if I were to literally sit and do nothing all day, just breath. So when you add in daily activity and working out, etc…I still get about a 600-800 cal deficit each day.

Nope, not taking it all at once. If you notice, I take it with my PWO meal/shake. so i split it up twice. I know it is still kind of a lot at once, but I have trouble sleeping if I take it too late. The clen doesnt really bother me while doing cardio. It works a lot like an ECA stack, just makes my heart rate a little higher. It can really ruin my lifting sessions, if i take it before them. I feel like I have no strength at all and have cramps.

Just a little tip on that ..... stand away from the background wall or whatever and you will not get a fuzzy shadow around your body outline so you will get a clearer picture. About 3 feet from the wall should be fine and give good results. This really only applies to flash photography.

Try some babyfood.. just watch the macros (sugar etc.) and ingredients (namely the carb source) on the label.

That's a lotta food m'lady... how many kcals does it work out too? Are you seeing the weight/fat-loss you were expecting? How is your energy level?

The weight loss is a little slower than I had hoped, but hopefully that means its quality weight loss :icon_roll And my energy level is pretty low. I have no idea how you competiters do it for like 16wks. Dont think Im made for that.

As you can see, I switched up my workout and started my week of benadryl today. This is all getting a little miserable. The diet sucks, I think Im about due for a carb up day. I am losing strength, the weight loss is a lot slower than I anticipated. *sigh* I guess its times like these when people usually give up.
