ok, whenever i go tanning, most of the time once or twice a week. i never put on any lotion or anything. i mean they sell some differnt stuff at the counter but ive never asked about it. i just go in, tan for 20 min then leave, i never have put anything on, ever. and i now know that i should be, so what do you guys put on, just a reguler sun screen or something. what different things could i try. thanks

I'll move this to the spa where it gets more hits.

i wouldn't put on regular sunscreen...you'll end up negating the purpose of your tanning session.

but a lotion isn't a bad idea...especially if you have pretty dry skin b/c of the tanning. besides that, it's supposed to help with the tanning process. How, i don't really know...

so its not that bad to go tanning and not put anything on. do you guys ever do that, because i always hear people talking about differant oils and stuff. and i never put anything at all on, i just go there tan and leave. what do you think?

oil will help the tanning process, for sure.

I personally don't use any because I'm fairly dark skinned to begin with, and I like drying my skin out pretty good (helps me avoid acne).

guess it's up to you. find out what works best.

Skin that isn't moisturised hardly ever tans bro. I would use an accelerator with hemp seed. Moisturise after using the sunbed aswell.

Moisturized Skin tans better than dry skin... though you can tan without a lotion it is not recommended, there are several different types of lotions you can use... Tanning Accelerators, Bronzers, and tingles... Accelerators are to aquire a base tan, along with maintain your tan once a tan has been accumulated. Bronzers are more known as "self tanners" NEVER use a bronzer until you've accumulated a base tan. It may turn your skin orange if the bronzer is to strong for your skin. Tingles are used to break tanning plateus (sp?) NEVER use a tingle lotion on your face for it can be the cause the facial problem roscia. Also if you do not already have a base tan you should start @ your skin types recommend tanning exposure limit...

PM me if you need any more information

No. You can't use outdoor sunscreens on the sunbeds as it messes up the glass.

Only use lotion specificaly made to be used with indoor tanning anything else will damage the acrylics of the bed... No ive never seen any good lotions at walmart check your salon for accelerators they should carry a few lines

lets put it this way, its fine to go without anything but some oils make a HUGE difference as they have chemical cataylsts that speed the uv/skin protein synthesis process a lot quicker than not using any oil. Still knowing this i never use oil cuz i only go tanning 2 or 3 times a year and do it usually just if i break out really bad. If you actually tryn to develop color or a rich dark tan anyone who tans consistently will tell you BUY A NICE CREAM, just ask some hot chick at the counter whats good and she'll recommend something with a tingle factor that will melt your testicles.

As above.

Don't pick up tingle yet though. Just a good basic accelerator with hemp.

First off, get out of wal-mart, they only sell crap (you will only waste your 9.98:1laugh: )spend a little on yourself and get the good stuff. I own a tanning salon and we banned the wal-mart shit, it makes a hell of a mess and takes money from us and doesn't work.Wal-mart:1hifu: smells like shit too!
