ALA vs. Vanadyl

I have been reading articals about the body opus diet.
and the guy doing the diet used vanadyl to help speed him back into ketosis. this artical was from 4 or 5 years ago. Now-a-days people use ALA to speed them back into ketosis. WHat is the difference between the two?
I haven't found a good description of what Vanadyl does.
can someone let me know the difference between the two, and how they work. Can they be used together? or would it be redundent.

All i can tell you is vanadyl sulfate is a thing of the past. Comparing the 2 is like comparing apples and oranges. Ala is much better ; it'd be a waste of time and money taking vanadyl with ala.
