Alright fellas, I put some shots together of my winter bulk progress. It went from roughly early november until today. Lemme know what you think! Oh also, went from a webcam to a digital cam. Jim

some key lifts that improved were
deads 405x1 -> 440x1
bench 250x1 -> 275x2
military 135x6 -> 135x12, 155x6

Wow 22 pounds in that amount of time is great. CAn you post your diet, and workout plan? Atleast the diet, I wanna try it. I really been trying to put on some weight. Thanks in advance!

Diet:
right upon waking up -> 2-3 scoops of protein, 3/4 cup of oatmeal, sometimes a blob of PB
same thing an hour before working out, same thing immediately after...
also three scoops b4 bed. other than that, examples of normal meals included:
8 eggs smothered with cheese
2 cans tuna smothered with mayo
8 hardboiled eggs with 3 slices of buttered bread
spaghetti with meat sauce
Mcdonald's #12 supersized w/ a coke....
i didnt eat the "cleanest", but i made sure i ate often, and a lot, if i had to guess, somewhere around 4-5000 calories a day.
workout never stayed constant, i switched it up every 2-4 weeks. some weeks i did 10x3's for bench, squat deadlifts, some weeks i did box squats, etc... i never really kept track... i just made sure that i had more than enough food in me, and that my workouts were as fun as they were effective.
thats one mean diet...I dont think I could stomach that even for 1 day...
mousetraps
03-09-2006, 06:13 PM
no no, thats not all in one day, the three "goatmeal" shakes, and the shake b4 bed was usually in addition to maybe 2-3 other real food meals

03-09-2006, 06:14 PM
I am a full time student who works 24 hours a week also, so shakes were very convenient, although disgusting after a while

Easy with that diet man so you don't put on excess fat. It could use a little work hop over to the diet forum. You did make breat progress though. What are your squat numbers?
mousetraps
03-10-2006, 12:46 AM
yea, i'm familiar with some certain persectives on bulking diets and what not, and i most certainly gained fat. But looking back, I'm 100% positive to say I ate enough calories and protein for my body to gain as much muscle as it possibly could, and I've never ever been able to say that before. So, while I gained fat, I've gained familiarity with my bodies ability to gain strength and size. And hair.
Squat, I dunno, I never went higher than 275 for reps without a belt, but I would guess it's not too impressive.

I agree, that's horrible. I can't imagine what he could have gained LEAN mass wise provided the diet was in order.

Aye aye, but you gotta admit swolecat, I'm not just another skinny kid that won't put in the calories needed, and then wonder why things don't happen. :) No, in all seriousness, I did it on purpose, the only structure I had was to keep protein with carbs, and protein w/ fats seperate meals, I ate a ton, I got thicker, stronger, it was easy to keep track of and all of this while in Minnesota sweatshirt weather. Beautiful.
Now!! the question is, where shall I go from here? I am shedding some of the fat from this bulk as we speak, but nothing drastic. I have cleaned up the diet cutting out fast food, spaghetti's and white rice, etc..
-Focusing on chicken, beef (I bought a crock pot today) TURKEY, tuna, cottage cheese, eggs, protein powder, peanuts, broccoli, beans, whole wheat bread, carrots, bananas, apples, spinach, olive oil, flax seeds, almonds...
-I have been taking brisk 45-60 minute walks in the morning on a half scoop of protein and a cup of coffee. I've been doing this about 4 times a week.
-As far as lifting goes, I go 4 times a week, I don't really have any sort of program, just continuing to change up the exercises about every 4 weeks. A big help to gaining 35 pounds on my deadlift was implementing dumbell snatches and hang cleans into my routine. I convinced the gym owner to order some bumper plates, so once those come in, I will shift cleans, clean & jerks, and snatches into my regimen. Never did these with barbells for any period of time.
comments? advice?

I am completely open to your explanation, if possible.
What i meant is.. you're at a decent bodyfat level... a couple weeks of cardio coupled with a strict diet and you'll be lean again.
I really don't like tinkering with drugs... and i think, for health reasons, non-competitors should avoid them where possible.
That's the short answer.

i agree, u put on some mass, but from those pictures it doesnt look like you really have a lot of extra fat on you. thn again maybe ur pictures arent showing everything. i'd keep adding more mass tho, still look pretty lean as it is. depends on ur goals i guess

yep, right now I'm down to about 204, took a week off of working out, but eating remained steady. Now I'm fully recovered and going back at it tonight. I believe my bodyfat is somewhere around 18-20%, which I do agree looks like too much for these pics, so I'll try to get some new ones up.

That is one crazy diet. Seems to have alot of access fat. Looks similiar to what I eat on a mass diet but I weigh about 210 now and have trouble putting on any quality mass with the shitty calories.

news update:
I'm running
tbol 50mg ED 6wks
t3 80mcg ED 6wks
clen 40mcg ED 2 weeks on 2 off
also Bino's letro program
lots of salmon, spinach, flax, protein powder, chicken, tuna tuna tuna, broccoli...
way more volume in the weight room
we'll see if I can shrink wrap what i earned over the winter
before after pics?...youre running t3 with no test base? I thought it was catabolic...
good luck!:)

yah, I'll just use the pics in the beginning of this thread for the 'before' pics, since theyre only like 2 or 3 weeks old, and nothing magical has happened since then.
yep, t3 with no test base, it is catabolic (not much at 80 mcg for me) but the short tbol regimen will take care of that. the purpose of the tbol is to allow me to ramp up my cardio without losing anything solid. A pct revolving around nolva will take place after 6 weeks... and i will be certain to post after pics :):)

It isn't.
An inadequate diet will encourage muscle loss.. but t3 is not catabolic.
I've run it without androgens without muscle loss.

**update***
no pics yet, but my t-bol cut cycle turned into an 8 weeker, and put on a bit of mass too; and here are the results:
weight: 208 -> 221
Arms: 16" -> 17.5"'
waist: 34" -> 33" (hey, i'll take it!)
Bench press: 275 -> 300!
barbell curls: 95x6 -> 115x8!
these are just a few, i will measure, and post more results along with pictures... not bad for a few little pink pills..... now about that nolvadex.....

06-20-2006, 10:44 PM
If you're on PCT why are you taking Tbol.. you do know it will keep your natural test levels suppressed therefore preventing you from actually recovering.
Or was the cycle just extended another 8wks if I'm mistaken.
I hope you know how to keep/maintain/make gains without he juice, seems as if you're using it as a crutch.

06-20-2006, 10:46 PM
I'll clarify.
My T-bol cycle turned into 8 weeks total, from a planned 6-7 weeker. It is now over. I am now PCT-ing with nolvadex.
Thanks

One thing you might want to do next bulk cycle is hit the rhomboids more with bent-over laterals and rows. It looks like you have some beef on your legs that isn't going to need much to chisel them. The traps might be your show case muscle. Damn I wish I could grow hair like that.
