Hey guys, I'm 15 and have been lifting for about a year. I'm getting more into powerlifting lately. My bench max is 250, I don't squat... Tell me what you think.

I actually do... I started taking Creatine and HMB and my maxes went up by 10-15 pounds. It was pretty amazing

I don't either...I've been playing football my whole life and never seen a 15 year old bench 250. If you do, congrats, but I just have a hard time believing it.

agreed. the kid is probably not gonna be around here long so dont break his nuts. for 15 you do look good and no matter what your max is, its really not important. definitly stay natural until you're older and your body matures. then do some sound research so you can make smart decisions for yourself. good luck.

To be honest I know a TON of kids who matured fast, and stopped growing early. They shot up like weeds in height+ weight , but later on they just stopped cold. Stayed the same size they were when they were 16 and now there 20. Not saying its gonna happen to you, just sharing my(observed) experience.

Again, good build at 15 keep it up!

Sorry man, I don't buy 200lbs. You look 160-170. I have friends much bigger than you that are 180(same height too) I also dont buy benching 245. Stay natural though

Exactly my thinking .... people just throw around numbers on the internet a lot... and as for that scale pic... YOUR NOT EVEN STANDING ON IT..... you coulda weighed yourself holding a 45lb plate piced up the scale and snap shot! haha... not flamin you though kid... for 15 not bad at all... hell i dont know what to compare a 15yrs build too... but you will look great in a few year if you stay natural and keep lifting hard... Hell in 3 years i would bet you will be doin 2 plates on each side of the bench ;)

how are steroids the easy way out? i dont use steroids so there would be no roid rage but they are certainly not the easy way out..YOU have to do the work and let the steroids give you the edge..i knew you didnt max 245 on freeweights..dont base your max on a machine and dont talk sh!t and dont say steroids do all the work for you because there are people here on cycle that work all day between diet training and rest just to grow..so dont say that steroids do all the work

this thread is a joke you dont weigh 200lbs in any way shape or form unless you put weights in your shoes a good 30lbs of them and also you dont bench 250,245 235 whatever you say you can probaly barley bench 135 for 10. in my avatar i weigh 190 and im actually 6ft tall so stop kidding yourself haha:liar:

I know some people work their asses off but others don't, and i love it... watching you guys try to put me down.. i know what i've done, and what i am.. and you can't change it. I'm going to keep working my ass off every Monday Wednesday and Friday from 6-8 and earn everything on my own. Thanks for the laughs guys.

And I was just about to give you some more useful safe advice too, but now you just blew it....with this rude comment...It clearly shows how little you know of the BB sport.... not very nice dude..If you only knew the schedule and diet and training one has to endure, and go through on a daily basis, you would certainly not have said that...

Perhaps one day, 7 or 8 years waaaaay down the road, you will gain some knowledge, and have the guts to try one of the vigorous routines that so many of us here go through, and you will look back to this day and say to yourself, boy did I ever mess up with that comment, I musta looked like an idiot.. but then again, probably not....

he benches 140 for 5 reps on freeweights.. 245 on a machine lol...cmon i wouldnt even bother maxin out on somethin you can change weight by hundred pounds or more with the switch of a pin....

Routine looks fine, but I would move back to Friday and do triceps with chest. Oh..and do traps with back and shoulders with chest. I didn't see shoulders in there :scratch:

12 sets tops for big body parts
6-8 for small
Focus on heavy compound movements..squats, bench presses, military presses, heavy barbell rows, deadlifts
Lose all the fancy concentration curls and dumbbell kickbacks

Eat 2g protein per lb of bodyweight
Eat 2.5g carbs per lb bodyweight

Protein sources: meat, chicken breasts, eggs, tuna (fish), protein powder (wouldn't make this a habit to use as meals)
carbs: sweet potatoes, oats, brown rice are my favs
fats: (EFAs) flax oil, natural peanut butter, almonds, olive oil

Consume either protein/fat meals or protein/carb

PWO: consume 40g whey with 2x the amount in carbohydrates. You can either go High GI (dextrose) or low GI such as oats. Shoot for 80g carbs either way.
PPWO: usually an hour following post workout shake, consume a real meal with a good protein source and a low gi carb source

Eat frequent meals..every 2 hours or so at the longest I would say (what I do at least)
Sleep 8+ hours a day

Dont drink alcohol, do drugs

Thats what I can think of off the top of my head..

Funny how his original post said "I bench 250, and I don't do squats" and then above he says he dedicates legs on wednesday...So tell me Jonny Highschool, what lifts do you do to work your legs that aren't squats? Another nautilus machine with daddy spotting? I find it funny you aren't banned by now, but when you get on the computer tomorrow at the high school library I'm sure you will find yourself banned. To get on here at 15 years old and tell the people who work 5 times as hard as you that they're taking the easy way out is insane. If it wasn't for these guys I probably wouldn't even know what a PCT is, so my advice to you is, put the 6 month old victoria secret catalog away, buy a new scale, quit hacking the spud, and come back in 3 year when your balls have dropped.
