OF COURSE!
What are some of your alls cardio routines like?
So far I'm walking monday, tuesday, thursday, friday for about 30-45minutes either on a treadmill or outside, in the am after a protein shake. IT'S NOT DOING SH*T!
I'm also doing a sprint session once a week aswell. I run a couple 100mtrs, about 10 50 yrd sprints, and jog a few laps.
I just have some fat in these unusual areas, like on my neck and my saddle bags! WTF! Other than that I'm pretty damn lean 14% BF. So thats why It's pissing me off.
So my real question for posting is , what do you guys think about JUMP ROPE? Should I add 15 minutes of jump rope to my routine on MON.-FRI.?
Who else jump ropes, heard it's pretty dam effective?

If you can do 45-60 minutes of cardio ( i walk on an incline on the treadmill) in the am on an empty stomach heart rate at 65%, no pretein shake. Do this 4 or 5 times a week. Also theres a cutting diet at the top of the page in the diet forum that u might want to follow.

I am walking on an incline on the treadmill for 45 minutes 2 days a week, and 2 days outside around a hilly track. < ---- not doing much.
Anybody like jumping rope?

I can't believe there's not any rope jumpers! I guess I will be the one to keep the tradition alive.
So far I'm not impressed with walking at all. Guess it takes along time to see results? I've been doing it for about 2 months and haven't seen much.
I guess I'm gonna bump my sprinting up to 2x/week, and on my walking days jump rope for atleast 10 minutes.
I HATE CARDIO! BUT I DO IT EVERYDAY!

I like jumprope used to do it quite a bit and I thought it worked great, would do it about 15 min with periodic breaks for about 30 sec.....both feet, alternating, running, just mix it up a bunch kinda keeps it interesting
dont drink the protein drink before am cardio

I'll do that. Get some spring in my steps.
Why?
protein can spike insulin too...and also you dont want to give your body anything else to burn besides fat...it will convert the protein to energy...therefore all your burning with cardio is your shake and no fat

But if going without eating for 10+ hours , wouldn't I burn muscle aswell? The body would have to, wouldn't it? So shouldn't that protein keep me from getting into a muscle wasting catabolic state?

If you have a proper diet according to your goals...you will not be catabolic in the morning...plus eating protein throughout the day everyday is what keeps your body in a postitive nitrogen balance...a protein shake right then wont make a difference...

I dont think it would make a difference as far as your muscle is concerned...but it should let you see fat loss

2 months on that (exact routine). This is the most walking I've ever done really. In the past I've mostly ran sprints or some jogging.
I've done cardio for years.

So true.
I'm currently doing a lean bulker type routine. It varrys per day.
When I started I was around 236lbs , now I'm at around 245lbs and I've barely lost any noticable BF. :frown:
I just gotta do it week after week , while adding my jump roping and another sprint session and see what happens.

Protein shake is your problem..do it on complete empty..I did AM cardio on empty for 14 weeks..dropped 50lbs and VERY minimal muscle..I think it was because I started to go 2 a days

I know man, I saw your pics , Great Job! You were 275lbs, now your around 230 somethen right? How long did you walk the treadmill for 45 minutes 5 incline 3.8 speed? <----- thats what I'm doing. 2 a days? Does that mean you walked twice a day same timeframe but later or did you do another form of cardio instead?

Cardio only supports fat loss when an impeccable dietary approach is already in place.
Not only have you only been doing cardio for a very short ass period of time, if your diet sucks donkey balls, so will the results that you see (or NOT see).
