hi all, i dont understand wuts wrong with my pec...my left pec is much bigger(specifically the outer part) than the right one(all the time not only after a workout)... i donnu if its swollen or not....but there is no pain in it and its much stronger than the right one...in the bench press i feel mild pain in my right pec when the bar touches my pecs..but the balance is too bad in the bench press( i feel that my left pec is pushing too hard while my right is not)... i can do kinda heavy weights (nearly 220 pounds).... the strange thing is that after the bench workout my left pec becomes so sore while my right pec is not that much sore...and my right tri and the front of my right shoulder become sore while my left tri and shoulder r not... does this sounds like an injury?? the main problem is that my left pec is much much bigger than the right one...can anyone help?

try dumbell presses, lighten up the weight a little work on slow concentrated movements, this should let the weaker pec catch up to the stronger pec. it doesnt sound like an injury to me, just a difference in how it looks-

Should i stop doing bench press(bar) at all (flat and inclined)?? should i do dumbell presses only?? Also, can i do heavy weights in dumbells or should i do light weights?

light weight on dbells, let the weaker muscles catch up. going heavy wont help the weaker muscle, it will hinder it, if you choose to do some flat bar presses as an auxillary,(keep the dbell presss as your main movement) be my guest, but again kep it LIGHT, that is the key word here.

do it until your muscles are more equal in strenghth and appearance.
i agree with the whats mentioned above you need to work dumbell excersises and concentate on the weeker chest/tri
bi-lateral excersises will only keep your stronger muscle pushing harder and leave the smaller one more dependant

dont worry about gains, not rt now, you have to listen to your body. fix the muscle inbalance first then you will have a much better chance at much greater gains it is common sense. also one doesnt have to train to failure or be sore to make gains, that is an urban myth, as powelrifter i just about never train to failure or i am sore unless i am doing hypertrophy training. my numbers speak for theselves, you can make great gains without traing to failure or full fatigue. you need to read , read ALOT more about training and training methods
