What is that bone right below your knee aka the very top of the shin where it connects to the knee it kills..... im tryin to get ready to break some american records in Nov but i gotta be able to squat down first....its a real sharp pain, and hurts to run.....can someone please help in what to do....I would appreicate it greatly

The bone is part of the tibia...specifically called the tibial tuberosity. This is the insertion point for the entire quadriceps muscle group...aka the patellar tendon. Sounds like you have a case of patellar tendonitits which is a particularly troublesome area as there is no way to really rest it.
Follow the tendonitis protocols Doc.Sust set forth...no leg work either...and don't run.
FYI: That area is raised up off the bone due to the forces our quadriceps places on the tibia bone throughout the early part of out life. The bone responds to the forces (Wolffs Las) and actually grows out from the tibia. This also accentuates the lever arm allowing us to bear more weight through the leg. Some people have this happen at an excessive amount, commonly called Osgood-Slaughter.
