if your new to training your body will get used to doms,otherwise you could be doing too much its difficult without knowing your experience and training routine but i think you should be good to go,get some blood in your shoulders by warming up and the pain should go,as long as its not an injury.

You could probably do shoulders today, but if you feel they are too sore just do them tomorrow.

Listen to your body. If your shoulders arent ready, there not ready. No big deal missing a day or two. Let your body recover.

no i am not new to training, just new to this split. i usually do chest/shoulder/ and tri together but want to giv shoulders their own day due to them lacking behind the rest of my body.

i just can't find a way to do it without hitting them when their sore or them being sore whenever its time to do chest.

you should try my split:

chest/tris
back/bis
legs
OFF DAY/cardio
shoulders/bis/tris
OFF DAY/cardio

Mon - chest 8-12 sets & triceps 3-6 sets;
Tues - back 8-12 sets & biceps 3-6 sets;
Wed - cardio;
Thur - legs 10-14 sets (this includes hams & quads);
Fri - shoulders - 7-10 sets;
Sat - cardio;
Sun - rest;

START OVERSuperhuman, with your split you are training your tris and bis 3 times in 7 days and IMO that's too much for most people. Most can't recover from this type of split and soon their body is over trained.

i guess you're right - if i'm ever still sore I'll throw and extra day of rest in after shoulder day. the reason I use this split is because the parts I want to work on the most are shoulders and arms. there was some study done that said as long as you have 48 hours of rest you are good to go - but maybe they studied p*ssies who don't work out hard enough to be sore for 3 days!
