todays my normal monday chest and triceps,
i benched 3 sets of 100kg failed last set as usual ( i know its not antything to boast about ) but im getting there,i dont lower till the bar touches chest tho i keep it about an inch away, is this ok ??

the was a guy in tonight benching 140kgs did 6 reps but his whole body was off the bench apart from shoulders ? , surely thats just a waste of time , i mentioned it too him and he his reply was, you do it then ? surely im right ?

The man doing that crazy benching is an idiot. He will not develop his pecs using form like that and might end up hurting himself. I dont think that form would be accepted for powerlifting either so however you look at it it's crap. Let him carry on training his ego while you train your pecs.

Just ignore him. Using proper form is one of the most important, if not the most important thing when lifting.
