i have some creatine that is at least a year old and has been opened. the exp date is in 07 but it has just been sitting around sealed but opened. my apartment was real hot this summer. i decided to start using it again yesterday. i only took 5g around dinner time, i woke up around 3am with a really bad stomach ache and almost puked, took me almost a hour to fall back to sleep. im wondering if this could have been from the creatine or not. now im hesitant to take it again today but thinking ill try it one more day and if i feel sick again tonight then ill know it was from that?

what do u guys think??

also, im thinking about trying ONwhey, ive read a couple post on here and people seem to like it. im looking for a cheap but good protien that taste good. money is really tight for me right now(i made another post explaining this but no responce) also if anyone has a good place to get it from and can reccomend a flavor, thanks.

im not too sure about the creatine question...however for ON Whey--def highly reccomended. Its pretty cheap, and tastes good at the same time. The 2 flavors ive tried are chocolate mint, and cookies and cream. Ive read a lot of people despised the cookies and cream but I didnt think it was that bad. IMO the chocolate mint is where its at...just my .02!

Hmmm I posted something directly along these lines recently.. Thankfully nobody answered my call <grrr> so I went off to do some research.

I have found a large-scale dairy distributer who will sell me 20kg bags of the purest WPI you'll ever find (unflavoured and uncoloured of course).. It works out quite a deal cheaper than buying named products.

Now the main problem is proportions..

Yes you can take pure WPI, but to get a good all-round effect, you'll need to throw in whey protein concentrate and calcium casseinate for good measure. The WPI will be the first to digest, which is great for replenishing your aching muscles straight after a session, the concentrate takes longer again, and the casseinate (or cassein) upto 7 hours. (perfect for a pre-bed shake)

But TBH I'm stumped now. I can buy all of the raw ingredients, and I can get em cheap. Tomorrow I'm calling a few additive companies to enquire about flavourings and preservatives (if necessary).. But my problem now is what bloody proportion of each type of protein goes into each type of shake.

Is it 50% WPI, 25% WPC, 25%CC?

or 33%WPI, 33% WPC, 34%cc?

argh
